Fire Emblem: 3 Houses

R.A.D. or RAD, on the Switch. Has a lot in common with Enter the Gungeon I guess, it's an 80's themed post-apocalyptic wasteland, but with a "Zombie Ate My Neighbors" vibe, in the diagonal, three-quarters view Diablo 3 has. Levels are procedurally rogue-like with elevation and lots of pits you could fall off of, and you go around smashing mutants with a bat until you're absorbed enough bad radiation that you start getting mutations, like bat wings for gliding, a rigid boomerang arm, a tail with a cloaca that shits out eggs that instant hatch into baby pets that have your head but Stewie's tentacles in that one Y2K Family Guy episode(this power is fucking broken and fun, btw). Pretty good for a Doublefine(LOL)® game that's only 20 bucks. Good soundtrack, decent graphics, faces are a little Tumblr-ey with fat noses and extreme diversity shoved in your face. If you die your magic tech bat comes back to town and another kid takes your place so there's a soft permadeath aspect to runs. Games tough if you don't get a ranged attack or pets early on, so it's pretty challenging on melee until you get some upgrades.
From the videos and screenshots I saw it pretty much looked like a post apocalyptic Binding of Isaac. Would you say it feels kind of similar?

Short answer yes, if you like BoI. The levels are larger and more visually interesting that BoI, but you can also speedrun them a little bit as you get better. The difficulty curve feels about the same, some runs are cursed and others you're unstoppable. I always felt BoI's zelda-dungeon structure was wasted, with most rooms not having any meaningful props or hazards and the game felt half-finished in a way. The power-up system is similar vibe though.

Agree. 5 was pretty good I thought, but on launch it was unplayable in multiplayer because of crashes/save file corruption problems that took a long time to patch in. We still played it though, with no expectation of ever properly clashing or finishing because games are like 40 hours.
Same experience. There's something to be said for 4. They had some cool ideas but it's a mess.

I was thinking about seeing what online play looked like but I imagine I'd get my shit kicked in by Russians pretty quick.

Booted up Mass Effect for the first time since shortly before 3 came out. This will be my fourth or fifth play through, can't remember exactly. I used to be pretty autistically obsessed with it back in the day. I forgot how well it presents its lore and world building right off the bat, I can see why it sucked me in so much back then. Combat and AI is even worse than I remember it, which is saying something because it was trash even back when it launched. It also looks pretty damn great in 4K with graphics mods. Like, really damn great.

Hoping I can get through the trilogy before classes start. It'll be interesting to see what I think of 3 seven years out.

Welp, that's all three 100%'d, full crew survival, and full Paragon. The ending(s) is/are sill pants-on-head retarded after seven years. Maybe even worse than I remember.

It's a shame too, because the last fight in London before you get sucked up the Citadel is pure vidya kinography.

Playing Ion Fury since yesterday because I noticed sjw's pretending the devs are mad transphobes for stating that sex change operations are mutilating a healthy body.
Turns out it's a killer game. Fun too.
Sjw's make the best recommendations.
Same. I love the artstyle, the game's difficulty and almost everything about it.
Speaking of that controversy, other folks are also going ape shit because the devs changed the Bombshell's appearance "making her less sexy" (from a bimbo to an human being. how dare they, although I agree she could use a bit more of femininity in her looks) and are now flooding the forums and social media with their sperging.

Back on topic, I'm playing Heretic with the "Heretical Doom" mod, it's awesome, feels like a more complete game.
I'm waiting for the new gpu so I can play Ace Combat 7 again (though I finished it thanks to fitgirl's 100% sale) and something like Doom 4 or MHW.
Ace Combat 7 is technically a good game, except for the scripted sequences, like landing and taking off.
Or when you have to wait for a dialogue to end so you can carry on with the rest of the game, which takes up about 89% of the fucking story.
Gameplay would be fine if it's wasn't for that. the missions are repetetitive, there's barely any content, the base game has less playable jetplanes than fucking assault horizon Ace combat 6, and it has Ac5's bad habit of punishing the player with more waiting if the player is good enough to kill everyone before a line of dialog has finished sperging about "how war is bad, but let us ask the player to commit a genocide of enemy pilots" (happens in the second to last mission), but they tried to hide it a bit with the drones, which are scripted as shit and you can't hit them unless the game tells you so (like the Yellow squadron's early encounters in Ace combat 4)

Also the music is just the main theme remixed multiple times, what the fuck.
I wish they would've made something with barely a plot, like Ace Combat X or Zero, but where there's actual content (that isn't patched through DLCs)
Because it feels like the plot was probably written by a fan, as it's just a mishmash of flashbacks to older games.
It goes like this: "Let's take ace combat 5, arguably the worst one since project aces taken over the Ace Combat series, let's make a fuckload of flashbacks to it [the sudden war with another county], let's also put AC4 in it, by using Erusea at random. And let's also put a shitload of content from Ace Combat 3, like the obsession with some characters with making an AI, and the AIs going AYYYware. let's also put more flashbacks with craps like old characters nobody cared for, and a random nagase cameo, because she totally wasn't an annoying piece of shit in Ace Combat 5!"

"yes, hiroshima-san, you're a genius! let's also put some stupid ass dialogues about the horror of wars, while the main characters will slay entire legion of enemies. And let's also make the last mission a mash of both the missions Geopelia and the last two neucom's missions from AC3, in this order. While also negating that we actually like Ace combat 3¹"

"but at least the mp is good"
so good it's dead.

5/5, would have another existential crisis while looking at the void that is the plane roaster again.

¹: In some interviews they said they "don't like ace combat 3", yet they kept putting references to that game (acx\x2 has a plane that's identical to the R-101, ace combat 7 leaves the plot to a point where ac8 will most likely be in a post-modern settings, probably like in ac3; ac5 had a plane which belongs to 3...)

I've been playing Ion Fury a lot lately. Great shooter, reminds me of fun childhood times playing Blood and Shadow Warrior. A lot of the secrets are fucking diabolical to find though, I don't think I've gotten a single 100% secrets level completion yet. Also I'm playing it on Ultra Viscera and if you don't as well you're a fucking scrub.

Finished Xenoblade 2 the other day 100% with all quests and blades collected, and the end game bosses killed, and wound up at level 99.

Now I'm almost done with Torna with all quests done, all items crafted, all endgame bosses killed, all quests done, and all members of the community accounted for and I'm at level 99 as well. All that's left for me is to kill the final boss.

I was going to finish Spyro 3 next and get all the trophies and then maybe 100% Crash bandicoot 3, but with how activision has treated CTR I'm real hesitant to get further invested. I think I'm going to finish Dragon Quest 11 next and get the remaining trophies for that too.

Trying out Draugen now its lot more walking simulator when adventure game so far reminds me a bit of the style of Edith Finch, but it is based in the 1920s in Norway I beleive.

Tried GTA Online. Did a gunrunning sale, someone tried their hardest to stop me though but failed.
