I've known for years that Brawl has had extensive hacking down to it, but I didn't realize they'd come so far in Mario Kart Wii. Last I knew, they could replace tracks, but most were pretty terrible and hurt my eyes.
But along comes this little diddy, and now I've got something to toy around with for a bit.
 
Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves. I normally hate tower-defense games unless they give you a lot of interaction. This one lets you run around and shoot/whack things so it makes it quite fun. You can tell the game is on a budget from its design. It's got a silly story but it's likeable. It doesn't have lot of music tracks but the combat and victory music tempts to make you dance a jig.


Honestly as much as I like it, I'd only recommend it when it's on sale (it's $15). It's apparently going to be a trilogy too.
 
i just finished dragon age inquisition and oh my fucking god, it was incredible garbage. no, i don't care about the social justice before anyone accuses me of bias. the writing was average (C tier bioware, better than da2) and one of the few acceptable things in the game.

technically, it was a fucking joke. if you're laughing at sonic boom for being an unfinished mess, you'll find DA:I hilarious. i reliably found myself unable to interact with objects (restart the game), floating in midair (reload the area), stuck inside rocks/trees (reload again, asshole). every single area is exactly the same, you fight the same 3 enemy types reskinned over and over, and combat is fucking laughably easy to exploit. the final boss (i timed this shit) on hard took me 5 minutes and 39 seconds - which led straight into the "DLC CUMMING SOON" ending. i could write a fucking book about how bad the "war table" is; essentially, you have to wait, up to 13 hours, to complete missions like it's a bad iphone game.

if i sound pissed, its because i love da: o and now i can't say "i'm a dragon age fan". for the rest of my life, i have to quantify that "i'm a dragon age: origin fan" because this was such utter trash. my only consolation is that i didn't pay for it.

i will come right out and say it: if you thought this was a good game, you are objectively wrong, and possibly even a bad person.
 
Due to getting a new pc, I managed to play Ground Zeroes. Despite retrying 10 times, I managed to get an A rank, even though it mean't four of those retries gave me 14 tranquilizer darts to shoot. May as well give its bonus missions a try.
 
I've been playing a few games: Swapper on the PS vita, Black Mesa source on the PC again and Portal 2 workshop levels on the PC. I have a back log of about 10 games I've bought on the PC, PS3 and xbox360 I need to beat.

I still have a bunch of old snes games laying around somewhere, but I use emulators for that very reason. I've lost data on FF II, which really sucks. You don't run that risk with emulation.

Right now I'm playing white knight chronicles II.

Edit: haha I just realized the forum just loaded an old page and I responded to a really old post. Oops.
 
Starting to replay Phantasy Star Online. It just as I remembered it until it crashed on my PC. Crap, I'm struck with the Gamecube version for now.
 
Decided to get back into Team Fortress 2. This time with a more powerful laptop and a wired mouse.

I forgot how much fun this game was. It feels like reuniting with an old friend.
 
I just completed a clean hands run of Dishonored so I think I'll go back for a bloodier one. I did save and reload a few times because I was seeing all the ways I could mess with the final target at the end.
 
After using ethernet instead of wireless internet, I was able to install Revengeance. Despite having trouble adjusting to the controls at first, I'm enjoying it. It's like @spaps said about the game. The soundtrack is good as is the gameplay.

I've been playing that lately too, same feels about it man, except I have a less powerful desktop than before.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf. About six months ago my old 3DS died because the bag it was in was run over by a car. My AC game was digital and while I was able to get the download back when I got my new 3DS, my file was lost. So I gotta rebuild my town from scratch again.

It's okay, though. I got to pick a new town layout I liked better and just generally get the chance to do things differently. Still sucks that I have to wait to max out upgrades on all my stores/house and all that. I miss my Gracie set. :'(

Simcity 5. It has offline play!

Prior to that, I'd been playing Simcity 3000, which has less features but just as fun to play.

I don't know why, but I really like the little data map things which the games in the series make as you build a city. It's just so interesting seeing what your city is like and what trends there are in what areas etc.
