Has anyone of my fellow boomers here heard of Megarace 2, or even played it? I just recently finished it and man did it hit me right in the nostalgia as I haven't played this game for 20 years.
I found this longplay for those who want a trip to the memory lane as well.

The soundtrack is just beautiful.
Yes! For years I've tried to remember the name of that game! Our first PC was a packard bell that came with a whole sleeve of CD-roms and the original Megarace was among them.

It came as part of a 10 games package I got from my dad as a birthday gift back in the late 90s. Another one of these 10 games I spend an unholy amount of playing back in elementary school was Blown Away.

I just finished Infamous First Light. I liked it better than I thought, and while I like the gameplay and wished there was more, I can't say I want to touch Second Son. The story looks.... bad.

Didn't really feel like what I'd call an Infamous game though. It reminded me more of Saint's Row IV if anything.

Picked up the complete edition of Fallout 4 in the winter Steam sale. played it to death on PS4 when it was first out but with no DLC. Pumped 100 hours into it in the last couple of weeks. I know it has its faults but for me Fallout 4 captures a lot more of the character and humor that made the first two fallout games so appealing.

Playing Alien Isolation, in a dark room, with headphones, and a bong full of indica.

Yeah, this is quite immersive. And freaky.

Quake II: I love the gibs in this game, actually I fucking love old school Quake style graphics where 2d sprites were basically non existent. Even the explosion particles are 3D!

Persona II: Persona I was too archaic for me to play, and the PSP version's OST despite being upbeat and jazzy, the music doesn't fit that all well with SMT's style of Persona storytelling and the singing distracts me from the texts, hard pass. Persona II though is where's it's at, god damn the music is awesome, getting nostalgic flashbacks playing the game all over again, lolol.

SS13: I'm playing as a Janitor and I got wrestled by a Macho Man Randy Savage character, and got murdered by a cult member minutes later. Also so glad furries are quarantined in their own server, fuck the furries.

Decided to revisit Gothic 3. Since the GOG version had it fully patched, I tried to play on the easiest difficulty with any balancing turned off. So far, being able to kill a brigade of orcs one by one outside of the capitol they are trying to besiege really makes one wonder how deadly they are suppose to be if some bumblefuck rando in a farmers outfit is able to kill elites and commanders.

Started playing Shot Online, a 14 year old golf MMO that was just released on Steam about a week ago. It's incredibly P2W and cash shop heavy, and I'm pretty sure there are like, 15 people at most playing during peak hours, but the mechanics are decent so whatever.

Hitman 2.

...Silent Assassin.

I’ve heard about how rough the game is in comparison to later titles. The disguise system is far less forgiving, enemies are harder to sneak up on, the physics are a bit wonky, particularly when placing guns on the ground, ect.

The first mission alone took me a couple of hours before I finally got Silent Assassin on it.

And yet, despite all that, I’m enjoying it. Recently started to feel that Blood Money was a bit too much on the forgiving side of things regarding stealth and disguises, and while it’s tough to get used to, I find myself enjoying how this game handles things.

Plus I really like the “main hub” of the game. Makes sense 47 would come back and tend to the plants and animals at the Church between missions. Also like how you keep the guns you find in the shed.

I also enjoy how this shows a different side to 47 in comparison to the other games. Wanting to serve the Church and work off his sins only to be pulled back into assasinating is a cool approach.

I have heard there are some really frustrating missions later down the road, but I like to think I’m relatively patient and forgiving regarding that so long as the game is good.

Crusader Kings II:

Homosexual wives are a huge blessing since you know all the kids you have with her are yours.

I've been trying Jurassic World Evolution. It's a pretty fun timewaster, but dear God did I develop a hatred for velociraptors! I gave them everything they need for their paddock short of a Jacuzzi with hookers, and they still break out and eat all the guest. It's not because they're uncomfortable or otherwise agitated, it's because fuck you, they can. You see velociraptors are driven by instinct (and spiteful hatred) to make life as miserable for everyone and everything around them. Fuck Owen! Muldoon was right! Raptors are worse than goblins!

several atm Halo Wars 2, original Dawn of war saga, Medieval 2 as Teutons an Age of empire 2.

also planning on grabbing Dead Space 2.
