Picking at Octopath Traveler during the day, Rule of Rose at night. I'm guessing Rule of Rose's pricetag comes from the game's scarcity, because it can't be the gameplay.

Somebody released an ANTIFA mod for Arma 3. So I fired up a randomly generated mission called Dynamic Combat Ops to see how well they stack up to a real military force:

It didn't go too well for them.

I recently got around to giving Dragon Quest IV on the DS a try. Awesome game, looking forward to playing the DS version of DQ V and the 3DS version of DQ VIII.

Also finally got around to playing my copy of Armored Core: Verdict Day. Another awesome game, wish I'd gotten into the franchise sooner. There are some rumors that FromSoftware is working on a new entry in the franchise- I hope it's true. The world could always use more mech games.

The past few weeks I've also been replaying some of my favorite games on the 360 (Dead Rising, Borderlands, and Saints Row 4), as well as the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games on Steam (really enjoyed those games when I was younger, they hold up really well).

Yakuza 0 is ridiculous, I'm out here suppose to gather evidence on who set me up as part of the main storyline and now I'm here giving a dominatrix some advice on humiliation in front of children and fending off zombies while Michael Jackson dances off to a music video.

I just started a playthrough to go through the story before I start Kiwami and to save time decided to skip the side quests and its hard to resist them especially for Majima where I get sucked into 3 of them on the same street just trying to get to the objective.

Just beat Dragon Quest I, Super Famicon version. Really simple game, but damn if I had no idea where to go. Missed the bridge I was supposed to take and instead wandered into near-endgame enemies, causing me to grind what I could until I checked it out online. I always wanted to play II since I had a Nintendo Power walkthrough of the GBC port as a kid (my friend gave it to me when my parents bought his N64 and he upgraded to a gamecube, and it had a partial walkthrough for Majora's mask), so I'm going to start in the morning.

Was going to buy a physical copy of II today, since my local pawn had II-IV for sale, but I picked up III instead since I remember the stories of people being mugged for their copy when it was released. Couldn't pass it up when I remembered that tidbit.

If you can do so, make sure to get the patch for DQ VIII that puts back in the orchestral music and uncensors some of the clothing from when they remade the game. There's also an orchestral music patch for DQ VII as well. In other words, I've been playing WarioWare Gold.

Shogun 2 in a jolly coop with a close friend.
We've steamrolled southern and central Japan and have taken Kyoto, now we have to wait for a few more seasons and we'll have won.

Playing Dark Souls 1 again.

Must be rusty because I let Solaire die to the gargoyles before I could kill them.

Wanted that Sunlight Medal too...

Playing a Japanese-only 3DS game in English called Beyond the Labyrinth. Pretty cool game, especially the story and game mechanics.

Any Yakuza bros in here? 10 hours in on Yakuza 0 and I barely started playing as Goro Majima, god damn that was the best intro to a character I've seen in a long time. Also, I chickened out from a Mr. Shakedown encounter, as soon as I lost sight from him, I changed my mind into fighting him and I couldn't find him at all, well shit. Also, I wish there was a mini map indicator for a person getting harassed on the streets, I feel very unconformable when I see the subtitles to a woman about to get raped by thugs and I can't find her. :S

The first Tex Murphy game and I got my shit wrecked in the first section you get shot at. How do I get better, I haven't played it long enough of a time that i forgot how to deal with those parts

I've been playing Bioshock 2(i havent upgraded to xbox one shut up) and holy shit, it's amazing. It's my first shooter so I didn't know what to expect, but it's really fun. I love the story and combat is some of the best I've seen in a game- however I haven't played many so I may be overstating it.

Dragon Quest II. I'm liking it more than it's predecessor. On the one hand, I now have to grind for three characters. On the other with multiple enemies per encounter, being able to save at any town rather than the starting castle , spells that can wipe out groups of enemies (now that I have the Princess), it feels drastically better. The first game, while charming, felt like such a chore to actually proceed. I can only imagine what awaits me in III if it was shaped by criticisms of II.

I got a physical copy of II today, and found I on ebay. Not sure if the game I bought online actually works, just hoping it arrives soon enough so I can complete the original trilogy. Not really interested in IV because, while it's another Famicom DQ game, it's part of a separate trilogy. Going to skip it actually to play V after III.

Have you tried getting the DS versions of IV, V, and VI? In other news, I'm playing Azure Striker Gunvolt.

I've considered it with V. The thing is that, while the DS version's portability is really convenient, I just adore the 16 bit look for older RPGs. Though I have to admit, the DS version does look nostalgic to me like a PS1 port or something.

Just tried looking up a US PS1 copy of VII. It was always there at Movie Gallery when I was a kid, but I never rented it. I was thinking of getting it to try out, but no dice on ebay. At least, not unless I want a Japanese or 3DS versions.

So it's either getting V, VII, or VIII (one of those games I regret pawning) for my 2DS right now. I do have IX, but something about it just doesn't click for me.

Soldats Inconnus: Memoires de la Grande Guerre

It's something of a playable graphic novel set during World War I.
