Still playing No Man's Sky. Ran into -null-

N-sane trilogy got released for switch on Friday and I can finally lap up the crash bandicoot goodness. Just a shame it's so damn short, you can easily complete all 3 games in a weekend.

I've been hopping around between Earthbound and Skies of Arcadia. Both are good and somewhat nostalgic. I guess summer is perfect for the nostalgia feels

I've been playing the shit out of Fallout 2 lately
I heard unarmed was supposed to be pretty good so I started a new character, by level 7 I've got 150% in unarmed and I'm punching dudes' arms clean OFF with just my bare fists and accidentally killing people in the arena fight
the game bugged out and caused all of the opponents to stay in the arena after I defeated them, it was as if they realised I broke the rules and all jumped in to punish me

That's funny, I was playing Fallout 1 lately with the FIXT patch.Thinking about playing through either 2 or New Vegas again.

Doom. Doom all the time.

I used to suck at action FPS but I started using a controller for Fallout 4 due to some actions feeling clunky on keyboard and suddenly found myself getting pretty good at it, which was why I bought Doom. I'd watched Markiplier play some of it and it looked fun. At first I had a tough time using weapons other than the combat shotgun. Shotguns are always my favorites and they're helpful because my aim isn't too good. After the rune trials forced me to work with other weapons I started getting better at fighting over distance. For the first time it feels like I'm getting good at FPS and it feels awesome. Suck on that, step-brother from my childhood! I could beat you in Goldeneye now!

Digimon World: Next Order on PS4. I think I hate it, but the nostalgia of the original Digimon World is keeping me playing.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good medieval house building game, sort of similar to ESO’s housing but less gay? PM me pls.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Don't know why, I got bored of it awhile ago. I'm probably start playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided soon.

I'm still playing The Saboteur but I recently also picked up Final Fantasy XII for Playstation 2 for only $5 Canadian at a thrift store and just started playing it the other night. I know it's to be expected since Final Fantasy games are as "Triple A" as JRPGs get and since it's a game from late in the PS2's life cycle when developers knew how to squeeze the most from the system, but it does have really nice graphics for a Playstation 2 JRPG even if I generally prefer the more unabashedly "anime" style of the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona and Tales games.

I also now have access to a Playstation 4. I tried Nier: Automata and it looks stunning, obviously (keeping in mind I don't have much of any direct experience with 8th generation consoles), but it's a lot harder than I expected. I got half an hour in but ran out of life and I'll have to restart because I don't think I reached even the first save point. Geez, that's humbling. Or is it one of those games that lets you save anywhere, in which case maybe I ought to read the manual?

Playing some more Breath of the Wild.

I went to Hyrule castle, but I died to the last boss in the boss rush.

I'll go back once I've more than 7 hearts.

Currently playing Kerbal Space Program. Just recently started unlocking heavy rocketry nodes in the research tree and I'm experimenting with different Apollo-style lander designs. I had no trouble docking my first lander with the CSM in orbit, but I decided to jettison the CSM and drop the lander into Kerbin's atmosphere for shits and giggles.

Steam sales and DSP's gross incompetence have piqued my curiosity about fighting games. I never played them "seriously", mostly in arcades here and there, and the only ones I've owned have been fucking VR Troopers on the Genesis and Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast.

So I picked up Injustice and Injustice 2. They're actually really good and I'm trying to at least obtain basic competency in the games.

I still struggle to beat the AI on hard. Game cheats, dropped inputs, nothing I could do. Just kidding, I'm just bad, but I'm actually now able to somewhat understand exactly what DSP does wrong, and it's made his raging at fighting games all the more hilarious to me.

I recently (last month as a birthday gift) got an Xbox One X and decided to pick up a couple of games. So right now I've been playing....
  • Cuphead (one of the main reasons why I wanted an Xbox One in the first place, I don't have a PC and Wine never works for me)
  • Rare Replay (mostly the Banjo titles and Conker's Bad Fur Day, but I've been exploring other titles)
  • Destroy All Humans! (a purchase I completely forgot about when I owned an Xbox 360, I forgot how fun it is).
I've also been playing Splatoon 2.

Breath of the Wild. I got a Switch for my graduation and spent a good 70 hrs on it before beating Ganon. The game was amazing, I had a lot of unique moments where I just stood around and went "wow this game is fucking great and pretty" instead of playing. Only few problems though are the fact that the difficulty doesn't scale with shrines and dungeons, only enemies. Every dungeon is extremely simple and can't get harder because the game is built around a new player being able to go anywhere they want in any order. Also each Ganon is easy except for Thunderblight and Calamity. The second phase of Calamity Ganon is a joke btw. Cinematic yes, good gameplay wise no.
