I had been playing the main story mode in Grand Theft Auto V but I finally finished it last week so I've been playing Arctic Thunder, the snowmobile-based spin-off from Hydro Thunder on the Playstation 2.

One thing that Arctic Thunder has that Hydro Thunder lacked is Wipeout-like weapons and those weapons have the sort of visual effects that fill the screen with colour for a couple of seconds at a time, so it's pretty distracting in a game with fast-paced twists and turns.

Realized I have a 2TB hdd so I finally installed a bunch of things. HiTMAN, World of Final Fantasy, Deux Ex: HR.

Honestly none of them appeal a lot but they're fun. They're that usual Tomb Raider/Arkham'esque category of "Wish I could 100% but I know I'll barely make it through even once".

Also fuck HiTMAN's menu.

Attack on Titans 2 and loving it.
Really, REALLY surprised with the game's overall quality.

Barely watched the series (lost interest after 4 episodes in) grabbed this game because I saw some videos of it and it looked like a neat game. Not regretting the decision of buying it. Love the controls, the gameplay. Movement always makes you feel like you are spider man. The combat is interesting with some neat gimmicks and strategies. The social/dating sim aspects, the rpg elements, character creation. Love how every aspect works in the game.

I also finished playing Prey and that was another huge surprise. Please play that game. A great game, Arkane magnum opus. A lot of people compared it with bioshock because Prey is the spiritual successor to System Shock the same way bioshock was, so both hit the same beats.
Personally, I find Prey the superior spiritual successor in every aspect. It only major flaw is that it lacks a bit of polish. But that is just a minor dent in that master piece.

My second favorite game of 2017, only behind Automata

Radiant Historia, which has been on my backlog for like 5 years. The central hook of a branching story where you could jump around timelines like a CYOA book caught my attention, but damn if the dialog doesn’t need some serious trimming for length. Anime RPG writing will be anime RPG writing, I guess.

Splatoon 2. Been trying to get back in to stardew valley again but i forgot how tedious it was

Continuing to put an unhealthy amount of hours into TEW because my autism truly knows no bounds.

Also really enjoying Eternal Card Game, a friend recommended it to me after I asked if there was actually any online card games I wouldn't shit myself and feel the idiot urge to spend a shitload of money on instantly; and it's pretty damn nice when it comes to rewarding you with a lot of free shit compared to Hearthstone or anything else.

Just got finished with Morrowind's main quest, and have now started the Tribunal expansion. I've also started a playthrough of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II, will be rolling as a gun slinging Jedi Sentinel.

Steam released Princess Maker 5 yesterday and thankfully fixed the translation and lettering mistakes of part 3. I named my daughter, Vicki.

*sigh* I fell down the flight sim rabbit hole. I bought a HOTAS because I had an Oculus Rift. Then I started DCS World, Now I'm on IL2 Battle Of Stalingrad and now my mail box is full of microswitches, usb encoders, springs, levers and related crap because I decided I wanted to start my pretend engine with real buttons and levers and things. I'm.. I... the soldering and the.. oh god, god why! Help me! You can buy real aircraft parts on eBay and I'm old enough to have my own credit card... I'm afraid guys, terribly afraid.

I bought IL-2: 1946 on GOG.com a few years back. It is that utterly brain-manglingly in-depth. Pick up and fly? Not bloody likely even on easy. Pick up and overturn yourself while taking off because you didn't realise that a prop plane pulls to one side (the side its propeller turns towards) on the runway. Pick up and realise that "don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes" is not just a good idea but utterly necessary. Pick up and scream because some lucky bugger in a German bomber managed to headshot you through the cockpit while his plane was falling out the sky on fire.

That being said, the dynamic campaigns where you gain ranks and decorations and the missions you're sent on depend on the outcome of previous ones and shape a proportion of the front is utterly cool.

You've not known real frustration until you've played Battle Of Stalingrad and triumphantly shot down a bomber only to look out over your wing and realise you're trailing a thin green cloud of fuel which naturally causes your engine to cough to a halt at 4000 metres up.

Playing The Legend of Heroes Trials in the Sky series, midway through SC. I don't care if the story is a bit cliche, it's working for me, and the soundtrack is fantastic. Here's hoping Cold Steel ends up as good.

Trails is legit one of my favorite series of all time. It's way too long for its own good, is full of cliches, and I love it that way because it executes on that traditional stuff so well.

To answer the topic though, I'm bored with my backlog so I decided to try out WoW. Dropped it a couple of years ago because I couldn't find a guild to play with that wasn't hardcore or super casual so hopefully I'll be able to find a group that's semi-casual but still wants to try and beat the harder raids. EVE required too much of my time to do the stuff I was interested in but I really need an MMO to get stuck in again...

I'm having a hard time to find a game to pique my interest. Just picked up Osrs and Darkest Hour.

I personally consider the trails games a 10/10. Both masterfully crafted and translated.

Shame that NISA might be getting their hands on the newer ones. There was also a thread on Resetera where devs Xseed staff said they would take into consideration what the posters were saying.

They fucked up Ys 8 pretty badly so hopefully that's enough for Falcom to keep this series away from them :optimistic: . Shame Tom is listening to NeoGAF 2.0, why do devs even bother?

Oh please God no....that would be terrible. That shithole's Persona 5 list of demands should have scared away anyone serious about making a good game.

Been getting back into MGS: Phantom Pain. The fact I can't redo all the side ops is BS since I would like to try my hand again at extracting an interpretor and the like but with harder enemies.

Frostpunk. I liked 'this war of mine' so I guess in 20 hours or so I'll figure out the mechanics and it will be a breeze from then on, though they say they are trying to work in a sandbox update.

I look forward to sending people to their doom given I can't help them with either choose.
