i randomly got reccomended some 2 view video of somebody playing this game called everything is crab on youtube and i decided to look it up since it has a interesting premise, its a simple roguelike based arond evolving through animal traits and its pretty good. games only out as a demo but it already has a decent amount of content.

Evil dead hail to the king....it's a janky resident evil clone with really spongy enemies, not recommended unless you're a big fan of the franchise.

Recently had the nostalgic desire to replay the old Metroid Prime. Little did I know it was a trilogy - the recent 4, so I decided fuck it, I'll just play all 3.
Been hoping off and on the past couple weeks and I'm half way through 2. It's been pretty fun so far.
It is a great series. 1 and 2 play similarly and are a blast. 3 and 4 play similarly (but a little differently than 1 and 2) and are also a lot of fun. Good choice!

Making a serious push in Donkey Kong Bananza and it is a very fun game.

It really is a fun series, and IMO had an insanely successful jump from 2D side scroller to 3D first person.
Also, it's crazy how much more the games expect from you compared to something today, like having to go back through the entire game to get the artifacts or temple keys is crazy compared to what games today have you do. It's just crazy to think that games expected you to actually play them back in the day lol.

Core Keeper just had an update and me and my wife are planning on playing through it again, ideally with some friends this time.
The game had a lot going for it before, but didn't have enough actual "game" to warrant all of the systems and content it had. So my hope is that the new update fixes that.

Started Darksiders 3, already got a sour taste in my mouth. Not only did they decide to go with a higher fidelity style on top of Joe Mad's iconic designs, they decided Fury should be a Marvel-quipping Cool Girl who also has a heart of gold despite her mouth running incessantly because she's good to her horse I guess. Oh, and of course there has to be a sexy Watcher to follow Fury around but unlike War in the first game, she's not forced to have the Watcher because reasons I guess will be revealed later in the game that are already blaring warning sounds in my head.

Aside from the immediate first impression, they decided to make this a Souls-like I guess? If you die, you lose all of your souls and there's no corpse to reacquire your souls, so what's the point? No bonfires either but I'm only five minutes into the game. The flow of the game feels off on the default combat setting but feels a lot better on the classic combat setting, so why have both?

Personal gripe, I hate a game where my jump feels inconsequential but you still have to use it due to combat mechanics. Fury's jumps are sludgy and slow, like how I imagine jumping around in treacle would feel like. You get a double jump but that also barely adds to your time spent in the air. War in the first game has a higher jump AND he gets a slow fall despite him lunking around massive armour and lopsided arms (he's clearly a furious masturbater), Fury is a lithe, semi-scantily clad agile warrior and she's somehow the worst at jumping?
Already not looking forward to Darksiders Genesis, or the eventual Darksiders 4 if this amount of identity confusion is giving me whiplash after 30 hours in Darksiders 2.
At least the button layout is more or less the same. 1+ for that. 🌈

Squad 51 vs the Flying Saucers. I was interested in playing another throwback retro genre thing, in the vein of Cuphead and Deadly Tower of Monsters, but the instant I booted this up I felt my goodwill dribble out. Among other things I just hate black and white. This one is supposed to be another "lololololol flying saucers/goofy practical effects" B movie games, but that doesn't mean I actually want to watch black and white footage, fucking sucks. Didn't like it in LA Noire and Cuphead and played those in color. It's a stupid gimmick. Ruined Trek to Yomi too.

Gameplay wise, it's apaprently (because I didn't really research it) a space shooter. As in that ancient-ass genre, Space Invaders type bullet hell in a 2D plane, patterns, that sort of thing, just with way more narrative plot than a space shooter ever would have had. I started to like it as I played, first mission. Kind of mindless.

Part of my goodwill dribbling out was the plot being that Director ZARDOZ has set up his corporate empire on Earth enslaving the people or whatever. Shows a real lack of creative vision and anti-capitalist brainrot that has compeltely consumed modern gaming. I hate that shit. Hate it so much, would much, much rather hear stories about anything other than evil corporations, mercenaries (as heroes or villains). The sort of subject matter they're riffing on would have Zardoz be the Tyrant-Emperor who keeps a flock of women in leather bikinis in his Pleasure Dome on Jupiter. He would be sending his monkey men to beat the peasants down in the uranium mines. It was the product of a culture that, in the case of the original Flash Gordon, COEXISTED with LITERAL GOD-EMPERORS that were credible threats to the collective security of humanity. There's a reason they're named shit like Ming the Merciless. "Director Zardoz" my ass.

I’ve been curious about this game, keep us posted with your review and if it’s worth getting!
I restarted this. The day I started I was really sick and I decided to shelve it and come back later. That helped, but honestly I'm feeling myself deflate so far.
Thoughts so far:

- Past the opening scene the Russian subtitle background dialogue gets manageable
- It is a slow game, and so far it's been fairly linear (I'm still in the first center)
- The combat is like a fast and fluid attempt at Bioshock but thus far I have seen little variety, just... shocking people. And hitting them on the head. And shooting a gun. It has not shown much variety yet.
- The plot thus far is... an evil dude made the robots turn evil. I don't know. i don't know if this is building to anything cool, a commentary on the Soviet system, some crazy twist, I don't know, it's... surprisingly thin gruel for how lush and creative the robot designs are.
- The vending machine is horny... but the humor also doesn't carry so well if you do listen to Russian dialogue.

Went through my installed games and decided on playing Call of Duty: Ghosts. I remember really liking the multiplayer on launch, even if the story seemed half baked. The extinction mode wasn't a great replacement for zombies, but I appreciate they tried to do something unique. Apparently the "Squads" mode is still live, meaning I can actually earn around 4000 multiplayer XP per match fighting bots.

It's definitely retarded to "grind" levels on game that's over a decade old that nobody really plays, but it also tickles a part of my monkey brain that remembers coming home from school to play it back in the day.

When I’m taking breaks from these heavier games, I also like exploring other online entertainment options. Lately I’ve been reading about new platforms and how their promotions and bonuses work, and I came across this site that lists recently launched platforms, which can be interesting if you just want something casual or different: nieuwe online casinos. It’s a neat way to discover fresh online experiences without diving into anything too complicated, and I often find it enjoyable to read about the mechanics and offers while unwinding between longer gaming sessions.
Darksiders 3 definitely feels like it took a lot of risks with Fury’s character and the Souls-like mechanics, and I agree that some of the changes, like the jump physics, feel worse than in the previous games. It’s weird how they try to make her agile and fast but then limit her movement compared to War.

Sure, I can believe that. Totally. Her armour must be some kind of DBZ weighted gravity gear that limits her full potential, before she takes off her shackles and becomes super saiyan rank 4
