Oh yeah, that's one thing I love about the early lego games, you can duck in and out and it's simple enough. Had issues with the "Skywalker Saga" version of Lego Star Wars but that's what the old one's for.

Speaking of old games, I went back and played the Donkey Kong Land games on the Switch emulator. The first was one of my few Gameboy games as a kid and I still enjoyed it. The second one was also fun, just simple 2D side scroller platformers from Rare. Some Nintendo Hard bullshit here and there but I kind of like it for that, it adds to the nostalgia factor.

I’ve heard this twice now! I got the Skywalker Saga thinking it was like the HP Collection (all the games just bundled, remastered) and apparently it’s not? What didn’t you like about it? Looks like I’ll be switching out for the individual Lego Star Wars games for whenever I get around to them

I honestly tried to use PlayStation now. And that shit is gawd awful. My internet is 1Gig so it shouldn’t stutter like it does.

That's what I thought too but it's actually a brand new game that retells the stories with new voice acting instead of the silent characters of the old games, with a brand new open world aspect that makes it hard to know when one mission starts and the other one ends.

It's not really a bad game, it just doesn't feel the same and I don't know if I'm just too attached to the old games to appreciate what they did with this one, or if I'm right and the TCS version is superior.
 
Titan Quest Anniversary edition after putting it off for the longest time and life getting in the way.

Rogue is probably my favorite AC game before the more RPG style ones. I know it essentially just used Black Flag's assets and gameplay, but something about being on the opposite side of the fight for once. Plus you can just indiscriminately kill civilians with no threat of desync.
 
Bouncing between Silksong on bingbing wahoo machine and Peak on the PC.

Our host got reprimanded by the scout master for abandoning us on the shores; 300 feet from the camp at the tropics, this same fat grape head-ass child drops a banana peel on rocks when its raining. Raisin dick fucked me out of earning my badge, it's great for playing with real friends. Trust and believe, dude!

I tried it earlier this year and dropped it after a sequence of puzzles made me feel dumb or at least way more impatient than I usually am with survival horror puzzles. Been sick for the past 3 fucking weeks with little to do but waste time so I went back and started over. Overall it's been a really solid entry in the genre apart from a few gripes:

Switching attachment slot items like flashlight/stun rods quite often gets fucking old as does the flashlight attracting enemies so easily.

The section 'nowhere' without any sort of map was obnoxious and unnecessarily drawn out.

Ammo limits per weapon type in your inventory.. just why?

I'm kinda stuck at what I assume is the final boss and its been annoying as fuck not because the attacks are hard to avoid but due to way they obscure your position with glitchy visual noise effects on screen and the random points after taking damage the boss becomes open to the spears designed to take them out. Plus set ammo pickups instead of the game adapting to what weapons you actually brung to the party.

Otherwise good atmosphere, surprisingly depressing story (in that good silent hill sorta way) and definitely worth a look if you're a fan of older genre games and overlooked it.
 
Playing Ghostrunner again, I never pulled the trigger on buying the second game but I've heard it's decent.

Check it out if you haven't before.
mechanically you're wall running and dashing your way across level geometry between smaller arenas with varying enemies. You die in one hit. You've got a katana that one hit kills most enemies, and cybernetic abilities you unlock as the game goes on. Sometimes it feels like a mix between the frantic gore fest of Doom 2016 and SUPERHOT. Definitely check it out if you like difficult games because it has a Hardcore Mode that essentially serves as a NG+ with more difficult enemy variety from the first level on with alternate level geometry for the parkour bits.
 
Got back into SurrounDead, because I have the loot goblin itch where I just want to hoard unreasonable quantities of scavenged shit. Haven't found anything else that quite scratches it lately.
 
Recently instead of playing Dark souls and getting frustrated I decided to fire up Doom 2016 and play the campaign on Ultra-Nightmare (Permadeath) to do the same thing. So far I haven't made it through the 2nd level without dying. I'm sure someone out there has completed it though, there's always at least one dedicated autist willing to live at their PC and grind out a win.

Edit: Apparently several people have beaten it, and even speed run the mode in under 8 hours. Hell, a guy named "Zero Master" completed it the day after release. Definitely proves what I said about autists though.
 
Tried to play GTAO but there were issues so I hopped into a server on Half-Life an played deathmatch. First time playing it, it was fun even if I was getting my ass kicked.

Been playing the new Pokemon Legends game. Looks like shit, is actually quite fun. If only Game Freak wasn't a tiny indie company and we could get both quality visuals and gameplay instead of just the latter. If only...

Nice! Half-Life deathmatch still holds up - chaotic in the best way possible. Lately, I’ve been on the opposite end of the spectrum, playing Speed-Stars, a browser-based running game - surprisingly addictive once you get into the rhythm.
