AOW4 is pretty fun.

I bought SurrounDEAD last night. Oh boy, might have been a mistake. I played 6 hours non stop before I had to be responsible. It runs butter smooth on my 3060 TI and aging Ryzen 5600x at near max settings and everything about it just feels so pure and locked in. They clearly took a lot of lessons from Rust and then picked some elements of Day Z and other survival games that were good and threw away a bunch of tedious ones.

Inventory management is my nemesis in these type of games and getting ganked while trying to stuff everything into a container happened to me more than once. The RNG on getting a backpack is a bit wack but I'm sure as I learn the map I'll figure out where they usually spawn.

Gunplay feels good, if a bit spongy, I'm not really a gunplay autist so YMMV. It's more arcade than simulation.

Borderlands 2

The game is probably my autistic obsession, and as such I've been doing challenge runs for it recently. Currently working on a gunless run for Krieg and I've already beat the main story so I'm just completing side missions until I decide to move on to NG+ (True Vault Hunter Mode).

Borderlands 2
Decided to play through BL3 for posterity's sake and Jesus Christ this game is a tragedy.

The gameplay and weapons are genuinely fun and enjoyable. The story of the game just drags on and on though, and most missions consist of waiting for some NPC to talk while the slowly meander to wherever they're going. I wish they'd released something akin to what they did with the final DLC for 2 which let you make a level 30 character at the end of the completed story so you could go onto a new game plus or just fuck around and have a ready to use build. I make it to the first circle of slaughter and literally just grind out levels at that point.

My brother keeps trying to get me to play BL3 and I just can't bring myself to want to:
BL3 having ledge mantling is not enough to make me want to suffer through the cringe.

Speaking of RPG-related things, I've been making another effort to finish Blood & Wine for Witcher 3 after work over the last week, and I really want to just give up again.

The first time I stopped it was for the relatively petty reason of the Toussaint accent getting on my nerves - hard to get through an RPG's story when talking to the NPCs pisses you off.

This time though, I'm more just struggling with the actual story not being as good as I hoped: Blood & Wine's investigation feels like a series of asspulls and Dei Ex Machina, Regis as a character feels like a giant Mary Sue whom everyone loves unconditionally and is the biggest ass-puller, and overall I'm left feeling the same way I felt about The Witcher 1: as if all the NPCs are driving the plot (Regis in particular) and I'm just a pair of swords there for combat scenes.

I really like base game Witcher 3 and Hearts of Stone is quite cool, but B&W just feels underwhelming and all the extras like the Mutagen Lab and the vineyard house feel worthless because I'm at the end of the game already.

Aside from mobile slop, still just Donkey Kong Bananza. I wish there was a better map, I can't find the fucking shop (aside from equipment) in the beach level with the monkeys and water.

Grounded 2. The boys and I had an all night LAN party, playing Civ waiting for the game to drop. Tried to tell em... games aren't ready when they drop. They should be, but they aren't. Poor lads hoped, and were shot down by a save bug and crazy lag. Better today. Gorgeous game, fun.

He's probably hiding in fear of you raping him.

Just finished Stellar Blade on PC.

Shit I liked

Combat
Graphics
Environments look nice
Gooner approved character designs

Shit I didn't like

Story is extremely generic
Side quests are worthless
Drags on a bit too long

The game is also braindead easy and then has an utterly bizarre difficulty spike in the final stretch where they throw three Melania tier bosses at you complete with delayed attacks, instakill grabs, and screen filling particle effect projectile spam.

Final rating 7/10

I've been making a fictional 80's Peugeot in Automation recently. I think it turned out pretty well.

Behold! The Peugeot Sport 420 2,5 Hdi Turbo:

I got a quest 3s a few weeks back, so I've been playing Elite Dangerous, War Thunder, DCS, and some free games on the headset itself.

Well i got 10 hours into witcher until I decided that i didn’t like it and then switched to Witcher 2. Got around 10 hours into that game and decided that i didn’t like it either. I love Witcher 3 and thought i would love these games. I felt like i had burnout at the time i quite W2.

Looked through my Steam library for a game I haven’t played but heard alot of good things about. Stanley Parable. Real short game but you can go alot different paths in this game. Highly recommend it.

Now i’m playing through Farcry 3. I bought it a few years back since Michael Mando plays Vaas. Now this is my first Farcry game and i never got into Assassin’s Creed. So far, it’s good. Not sure how i would like playing more of these with how Ubisoft model is done.

I've been playing modded Rimworld lately and lemme tell you, life in a desert Oasis is surprisingly cozy. Sure, meat only shows up every other quadrum, but I have six thousand corn in cold storage so we'll never go hungry.
Dug it until the superpower shit came into the missions. I want good ol army vs army, not superhero goddess tank wallabingbang solos 5000 tanks
That's just what Aryans can do in real life.

Far cry 3 is arguably the last far cry with a great story, the fourth one is probably the most fun to explore and fuck around in. The ones past 4 have a lot more hand holding and dedicated followers. The 5th also features premium currency microtransaction bullshit for the better stuff.

All in all they're mainly just mindlessly blowing shit up past 3.

This post made me start a new playthrough in Borderlands 2 and christ is it an ordeal. I'm liking the guns and gameplay so far, and the lack of regenerating health is nice early on at least, but I had to mute the voices entirely and turn the music volume to max just to stay sane.

It forced me to pick a unique name for an online account just to play, and the name filter considers 'anthonyburch' a swear for some reason...

There's also a weird bug for me where I get ~50 fps in certain areas, but with only 30% GPU usage :stress:

Is it this?
