?Wonderboy, what is the secret of your power??
?Wonderboy, won't you take me far away from the mucky-muck man??

Gonna actually sit down and beat it this time
Legend of Legaia.

Rage quit on a part late into the game couple years ago and now I'm giving it another chance.
I only ever played the demo of that game years ago. I should actually give a shot sometime

Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, pretty fun.

You basically build a city that sells Hemp and Pots.

My original Xbox arrived today so I've been playing Jet Set Radio Future for the first time in 15+ years! :)

I was almost worried I was looking at that game through rose-tinted spectacles and it wouldn't hold up, but I needn't have worried.

I played it for two hours straight today and the time flew by. I forgot how great the soundtrack is. The graphics have aged quite well also, because they're so heavily stylized and the whole game looks like an anime. Some of it is a little blocky, sure, but it's charmingly so.

The controls are floatier than I remembered, but it suits the design of the game so it's not a complaint. The levels are a lot of fun to explore and I like the characters as well. So much nostalgia.

Other than not having a battery backup, the Dragon's Trap is a favorite on the Sega Master System and I get torn playing it on the actual system or the remaster.

Space Station 13: More shenanigans as a Botanist. Round starts off with me and two other botanist doing our own thing when 2 chefs comes up to us and gives us a very big hamburger the size of a sofa. I eat it and begin to feel complications like my body temperature rising to max where I sweet profusely, a fellow botanist tries to take me to the hospital but I feel better and also he couldn't find his way over, I go back and then a couple minutes later my heart begins to beat rapidly and I faint, same guy who tries calling for help over the channel when the same chefs earlier comes by to pick me up, he takes me to the freezer where a gibber machine is waiting for me, he puts me in there and kills me. Uses my flesh to feed a bartender who was none the wiser, said it tasted awful. The botanists enact revenge by giving one of the chefs a fused chili half spicy half frozen, he eats it and then he dies.

tl;dr I got killed by cannibal chefs
what server do you play on? are you a ssethtider?

Legend of Legaia.

Great game. They didn't fuck around with some of those bosses.

Never actually did beat it, though. Got stuck on the second last boss and quit. Tried years later and got stuck on the final boss but never did bother to beat it.

Some people rag on the PS2 one, but it's still a cool game that carries over a lot of the concepts that made the original great.

For me, I got stuck on the three one on one fights. Didn't help that there wasn't a save point after going through the ten to fifteen minute dungeon before it and that all three fights had lengthy special attack cutscenes that played constantly So I just gave up.

Gonna see if I can do better this time.

I've put an autistic amount of time into the Division 2, somehow fitting it in around all the sex I'm having, the money I'm earning, and diseases I'm curing.

However, I've been pulled away by a little game called Outward, that was made by a team of about ten people, I think? Best way I can describe it is a Morrowind with survival elements - there are no quest markers, you have to physically write down instructions if you want to have notes of what you're doing, reat, eat, drink, etc.

It looks shit and sounds even worse, but if you told me setting out into the wilderness with a proper backpack and tent would be one of my most satisfying game moments in 2019, Id think you were as dumb as I feel right now.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection just received a free trial weekend, so I've been giving the Pre-Sequel a spin.

Pretty fun so far, Doppelganger Jack's a cool character and the low gravity makes for some interesting locations.

Was playing Left 4 Dead 2, but i'm about to play Need For Speed: Underground.

I'm getting back into Yokai Watch 3 after an extensive break. I unfortunately saw a trailer and gameplay footage of Yokai Watch 4 on Switch and now I wish I was playing that instead. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be localized some time before Hailey's Comet passes the Earth again...

Also to set the record straight, Yokai Watch is closer to Shin Megami Tensei than Pokemon. You feed enemy Yokai their favorite food in the hopes that they might join you. Unlike traditional Yokai that have terrifying curses, the Yokai in these games inspirit you to steal your socks out of the dryer, make you addicted to Twitter, make you lose your cell phone signal, and so on. It's full of puns and self-references and doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest and I have a soft spot for its cornball humor.
