What are the most pretentious animations ever made?

I don't know if it's because this art style/political cartooning is pretty common here in the UK but I don't really see any real issues with this kind of content.

I don't really think it's especially pretentious -- it's the same art form and commentary as Banksy but animated. For as long as there has been a society to have crumble around you there have always been artists there to create pieces about it, even if those pieces are pretty on the nose and common for all to see.

The artist has talent and it's clearly doing something for him with nearly 2M subs.

His misanthropy is utterly moronic and niggerish, his cynic takes betray an understanding of the world comparable to that one of a toddler

You'd be cynical too if you were stuck on this stupid fucking Island.

I absolutely hate everything about Fennah animations. The designs, the camera movement, the themes, the voices, the actual animation itself, it's all so so so bad. To me they seem "pretentious" because they're touted as these high quality, edgy, deep message hidden lore shit but it's really just furry garbage.

Shitty animations like these are a way for the normies to feel like they are really smart because they understand the most bland, simplistic and cynical criticisms of society that they contain, as opposed to an actual in-depth analysis of the nature of human social behavior that they could pick up in a philosophy or sociology book, but that would require not only time but actual intelligence to consume and digest. Instead, they can watch a 3 minute video about how humans exploit the heckin' poor environment or how modern middle class life is repetitive and depression-inducing, something not only basically everyone knows, but which these animations don't even offer any real solutions to as that would require, God forbid, actual critical thinking. It's all just a massive circle jerk of pseudo-intellectualism intended to make people think they are smarter then they actually are and the authors of such crap are either exactly like this (like is probably the case with this faggot) or just simply capitalize on this phenomenon.

Banksy is also a massive pseudo-intellectual midwit. I went to an exhibition of his art when I was in high school once and the most prominent piece was a portrayal of the bri'ish parliament as a bunch of apes. Really deep and meaningful, wow... fuck off and kys
His most famous piece, the girl with the red balloon, is also a perfect epitomy of pseudo-intellectualism. Crying about an issue that was always present in human history, in this case war, without offering any real solutions. It doesn't even address the specific conflict which it was releated to, the israeli colonization of Palestine, it's basically just "war... le bad"

I don't think Banksy himself is especially pretentious -- the actual Artist has never really come out their shell a lot regarding the wider meaning of his art. I think the issue is that people treat Banksy as some kind of modern Picasso and try to treat each piece as some symbolic or finale to his life when the artist himself has said a few times that he doesn't really care if people remove the art once people have had a chance to see it.

His art should be treated more like the etchings in Ancient Rome of saying the Emperor has a small cock but the art community once again turns something in to a middle class nightmare.

I personally think his art is poignant for current affairs but it's not deep art; there are no hidden messages. What you see is kinda what you get with Banksy. An artist expressing their perspective of society isn't necessarily pretentious: I don't think they actually think their art will change anything -- at this point in the downward trend they're mostly creating art that will be reflected on as an example of the downfall rather than an attempt to prevent it.

When I think of pretentious art I mostly think of people like Warhol and modern art cunts but I suppose art is subjective so you're not wrong either for thinking it's pretentious.

I came across the guy's videos some years ago and it was just so uncomfortable, the characters move too damn much, nothing has a sense of weight to it and I couldn't shake the feeling I was looking at an edgy furry's fetish art.
He has a thread on Animal Control, the first couple of pages have some info on how he models and animates and it's a complete disaster. His animations probably only got the fans they did because 3D art is rarer in those circles so it's seen as more valuable.

Bro, I just remembered where I had seen this shit before. This guy worked with the Nostalgia Critic for his parody of Pink Floyd's The Wall. JFC what a shitshow.
