Practice saying "no". Or say, "I have no control over that" when people preset you with problems they expect you to fix which are not your responsibility.

It's best to say it calmly and without an attitude. Explaining just makes things worse. People don't wan reasonable explanations, they are just waiting for you to stop talking so they can argue their bullshit more and guilt you and badger you into accepting. "You accepted A so you naturally must want to accept B." Like age verification in Operating Systems that's just coming of California and Colorado in the United Socialist America.
