It's like the Salem Witch Trials all over again. Any rando can accuse you of witchery without proof, and denying it just 'proves" you're a witch. Then you're tortured until you either die or admit you're a witch. If you survive the torture, that just proves you're a witch. It's a Kafkaesque nightmare.

Saying you told people what happened right after the event doesn't prove anything. Where are these people you told? What did they tell you? No one offered to help you file a report or anything? Why? How do you know he was "stone sober" when you were really fucking drunk?
