That's a bit too fast on the assumptions. We know there are some affidavits given to Ty, late Wednesday, and the timing here gives strong implication that Contrarian was involved or knowledgeable about at least some of those. So my bet is that:

1. The affidavits exist, specifically for something at Tekko 04 and 07
2. Contrarian is easily impressed with the official legal nature of swearing and notarizing and affidaviting, and so thinks she's generated real heavy ammo in the fight against evil cis white men
3. The actual content of those stories will wind up being too weak for a slam dunk on MoRonica's side, which is why they're desperate to get leverage out of them before the stories are revealed.

If it was Shane saying that affidavits exist, I would apply the Law of Shane and call Nick a liar for claiming affidavits were submitted. But this is someone outside Shane's Vortex of Perpetual Wrongness.

Edit: it's kind of like when Nick made a big deal about Casey authenticating all of Ron's tweets. That puts them in the legal record as evidence on an unshakeable level. Contrarian thinks she did the same thing with the stories in the affidavits. There's no amount of explaining the legal system that will get through to her to explain why uninvolved parties don't treat her "accomplishment" like she does.

Affidavits are useful at the summary judgment phase when they are simply establishing a material fact about the case is in dispute, and therefore, the case should go to trial. Without the affiant being willing to show up and be subject to cross examination, though, they aren't terribly meaningful. This absolutely insane person needs to show up with her weird behavior, her nutcase affect, and actually be cross examined in front of a jury.

I am actually really enthusiastic about a complete whacko like Manjaw being a star witness of the defense in this case. It's hard to imagine anything better than this mentally ill freak in front of a jury.

And by "enough", I mean, at all. She allegedly let people suffer because her severe myopia didn't allow her to see that law enforcement had to be involved when the con allegedly wasn't going to do anything, and even now, her severe myopia thinks that Vic merely being disavowed by a con that's being strongarmed into it is going to protect society from an alleged menace.

Honest to god, if I actually thought Vic was a genuine threat to young people AND for some reason I received some kind of brain damage and believed that lower than D-List celebrity had so much power that the police wouldn't touch him, I'd be thrilled everytime he got invited to a Con. Money aside, he'd be in a place where people would be keeping a close eye on him for stupid amounts of hours at a time, there'd be phones taking pictures and videos every where, and with those I'd be able to keep an eye on him and the second I saw anything that seemed iffy, I'd be screeching like a banshee.

But, of course, we know this is not actually about protecting others, and stopping the victimization of innocents. This is about asserting power.

It's amazing. Reading those emails, I genuinely got the feeling, the way Peter was talking about being backed into a corner, that if left alone, they'd have just quietly continued on to possibly just never invite Vic ever again. I mean, look at the comfort questionairre. The fact that their other Con has Marchi and Rial as the only announced guests. This does not strike me as a Con that would want to invite a guest that's so controversial, especially with the claims people like Manjaw are throwing around. They would have been just another Con of the list of Cons that want nothing to do with the drama and so would not be inviting in Vic. Which would be fine. That's up to them. As long as they aren't breaking a contract, it sucks, but they can do what they want. But that wasn't enough. And the Pod fucking shot itself in the foot, because of it.

How they continuously go about doing everything wrong is beyond me, but I love it. Truly, Vic Mignogna does in fact have the power of both God and Anime on his side.

From Nick's Twitch: The mysterious communication Nick received a few days ago was, in fact, a sworn affidavit from ManJawtrarian. It was concerning TekkoCon. They wanted Nick to release/read it on stream, and when he said "Naaaah" she and Shane flipped out.

Nick also confirmed that Judge Chupp said balls to Casey's request for a gag order, and that if anyone who sent in an affidavit wanted their stuff secret, they should withdraw their affidavit.

Also, Nick said he got 5 affidavits. Only one of them was Monica, and the others were none of the individuals named in the Funi/Sony investigation. So much for them wanting to come forward.

Nick also teased some material that came in that he says are too stupid to believe.

They don't understand that KiwiFarms is chaotic neutral in all this. What I see, from this lawsuit alone are
1. People who support Vic because they genuinely like him as a person or because they like this work.
2. People who have looked at the evidence Vic and KickVic have offered, and find it in Vic's favor
3. People who hate internet lynch mobs and will automatically support the underdog.
4. People who want to laugh, and since all the laughs are being provided at KickVic's expense, they'll side against it.

So, sure, while some people would be considered ISWV, the rest are here for other reasons.

I wonder how many lawsuits it'll take for these people to realize that telling lies is a shit thing to do; and not having corroborating evidence makes them look even worse. There are hundreds of claims against him, but they're all hearsay from people's friends, cousins, and other people they have tenuous links with. Dozens of conventions have banned him from their events, yet he keeps getting invites. Tekko Con has had dozens of affidavits that somehow didn't get passed to the new administration; but they should just accept the claims, because fuck truth or being accurate. Especially with no fucking police reports of any kind, if a fucking crime happens, go to the law; especially if shit happens in hotel rooms. Any con worth their salt happens at/close to the fancy fucking hotels; the kind with multiple cameras on every fucking floor, elevator, and elsewhere. A majority of the people who "work cons" are the ones who know someone or are on some sort of list as being a reliable volunteer. The ones who actually work, are the people behind the scenes you really don't see; contracting the venue, sponsorships, running floor plans by the fire marshall, etc etc, and do it on what can be called a full-time basis. The majority of the people are the volunteers, even at the lower end of planning ops, you have volunteers who want to work their way up to the mythical full-time spots. If you're not at the top, you're not working, you're volunteering; no matter how high you are, when you're a volunteer, you don't call the shots, and those above you can and will overrule you since your ass won't be on the line... so I doubt Manjaw was actually working.
