True. I there was a short a while back after the first about Hiccup building an automatic tail system for Toothless so he could take solo flights. At the end of it Toothless tears it up, preferring to stay with him. So who knows maybe they've been building up to this.
No doubt they want to wrap this up into a perfect closure if possible.

Thinking back to Bongo again, reminded me of this scene. Of course if you mute the audio, it's fun watching how they animate these guys (and gals).

Loved this segment! Fun and Fancy Free is such an underrated collection.
Right-on! I first saw this back when it initially came out on home video in the early 80's and loved every minute of it, regardless of what people may think of it from today's standpoint (being a "packaged feature" and and other stuff). I often wonder if MST3K took some of it's inspiration from Edgar Bergen's clever repartee with Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd during the Mickey & The Beanstalk part. I thought of that the first time I watched that show, thinking I saw that sort of thing done elsewhere.

Getting back to HTTYD3, I suppose had they kept the same look of a Night Fury for the other dragon, such as in the poster, it might've made the film a bit confusing for people to follow, since they may not be able to tell them apart (which one's Toothless in this case) unless they had to give some visual cue to set the mate different from the other (as long as it's not a primary sexual characteristic). Such visual cues such as differences in color, shape or other features was what set animation/cartoons apart from live-action (for me, that moment in the live-action 101 Dalmatians film where they had to check underneath the dog's hind legs is one example of the limitations of reality).

I had a good collection of the Black Diamond VHS tapes and that one and Three Caballeros were some of my favorites.

Hmm maybe but the color choices are just so odd? It's subtle but Toothless has these panther-like markings all over him and all the other species have all these fantastic designs and then this one looks almost baluga whale to me. If it were me making these descisions I'd go with a deep violet as opposed to Toothless' indigo-black.

American Dad was decent at first with its great political humour, e.g. The family were often seen at 'Red State Groceries, the shopping destination of a shrinking majority of shoppers every year!'
I thought it really hit its shine a fews seasons in when Rodger started doing disguises. However, I felt it went downhill after season ten... But the episodes where Snots dad dies and Jeff lands on the alien ship were both very touching (season ten eps).

tbh I stopped watching after the switch to TBS due to boredom and other shows taking up my time

More takes on the dragon movie:

I hope the actual plot of the movie will be pleasantly surprising, but with a crappy poster design like that, it makes me a little nervous.

I also hazily remember from ~7-8 years ago when the first movie debuted, that the ultimate resolution for the series was to explain "why dragons don't exist in the world anymore."

Wouldn't doubt that's what this film is probably going to lead up to if they are building to it.

Looks like we got another interesting movie out on the horizon, this time it's from Iran.

I love the look of it, this is how all those generic Disney Marvel cartoons should look like! Animation is a bit choppy here and there, but they more than make up for it in style and the sheer meticulousness of the artwork. This is just what the doctor has ordered for my eyes after getting sore from looking at Tumblrcats SNORE.

So they want queer representation in what are basically pets? Does this make Lassie a stunning piece of feminist fiction? Will me welding two hex screws together be a step forward for lesbians in hardware?

It's fun to think a country we don't see eye-to-eye with can kick our ass here.

And yet I recall they used male collies to play Lassie for years.

Yeah, appreciating other cultures' art is a good way to remind you that shitty politics, societies or customs aside, there's always some good people everywhere, or at least people whose work you can still enjoy.

By the way, I was just browsing YouTube when I had come across some clips from The Last Airbender:

I think I saw it in 2013 for the first time, and remember enjoying it quite a bit. As disappointing LoK had ended up being, it's nice to remember that the original show was really good for the most part. I think I should rewatch it again sometime in the near future.
