I guess the guys of Paramount-Skydance haven't heard of the Streisand effect?

Edit: As for the so-called genius who came with the idea of CN:Real should be awarded with a cream pie on their face.

A lot in the comments section are still seething about Owl House being canceled. Was it that big of a deal or another queer representation show?
I saw some comments saying "We can't let another original animated movie fail!" I find it incredibly annoying. Like we gotta just plug our noses and eat this shit for the vague hope that Disney will greenlight something actually worth watching.

Imagine being a billion dollar studio and your shit gets leaked by furries on a board called /trash/. I'd just fucking start firing everyone who has a discord account at this point.
This is fucking amazing and hilarious how it happened.
Can't wait to see more.
At this point, thank God I never got into TV. It did this to itself already.

I’m not surprised given the reception to the reveal was lukewarm at best, and this is after the fact releasing a series every decade only serves to retain a now-adult fanbase, which does nothing to keep your show for children afloat, is combined with the amount of goodwill everything after the first season of Korra pissed away.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone look back at Korra with fondness or nostalgia. The only people I ever see talk about it are people who feel the need to defend it out of some strange moral obligation.
All the ""creatives"" at Disney should have explosives shoved up their ass that detonate
You could've just stopped there and you still would've been right.

Reading through the Teen Titans (original) bible from the leak brings back such good memories, it's written so snappily that it's charming in a way and just really makes me feel like Teen Titans Go lost the entire plot.

I think I'm just about Quirky Girlfailure'd out (also, was that Wayne Knight microwave at the end a Brave Little Toaster reference?)

The millennial-written out of touch kids movies WILL continue until the status quo changes.

I have seen people only speak positively about some of the vistas and the initial direction the show took visually in season 1, nothing relating to its narrative. Some talk of its villains but that’s it, everyone who willfully defend Korra in the first place do it because they love being subversive, that’s it really. Nuff said.

I stand by the statement that the show had some decent ideas in the first and fourth season but the execution was some of the worst I've ever seen in any TV show.

I know someone who initially preferred it to Avatar, and even some people who really liked it - none of which are the SJW types.

Korra is basically the Star Wars prequels to Avatar. It is way more flashy and action heavy, along with going for much grander world-building and story it likely wasn’t equipped to handle. It is easy to see people getting sucked in, even if it story-wise is not as good. Somewhere deep down was a really fantastic concept and plot line, that got muddled in writing blunders. Also, as said, if you just want to see ass kicking, Korra has the better animation and more spectacle heavy use of bending.

New Avatar will likely end up like the sequel trilogy. A boring, confused mess that has neither the strong writing of the original or the “go big or go homo” mentality of Korra.

(Thanks for that perfect line RebelTaxi)

I like Go, but it was made under full corporate directive thanks to Warner/DC getting bitched out by toy companies.

Young Justice broke DC when toy sales didn’t come back strong, and it was stated that toy companies basically told them they were pulling out due to the hefty teen+ female demographic that had made it impossible to merchandise. Original TT also allegedly had this issue by the end of its run, being an unmarketable older audience with a much greater female viewership than expected.

TTG was basically made to avoid a 3rd outing as it would be sold as a show for young children rather than 7+ boys. A bitter reminder why Japan and it’s much more flexible merchandise market allowed for more older-oriented projects while America gets dragged behind.

The whole point about childhood and kids just wanting to have 'FUN' made me sad man. Something so simple to follow yet you'd be hardpressed to find most shows today that has that as its main goal instead of forging some gay political bullshit towards kids. :(

In light of spooky season I have recently stumbled upon an oldie but goldie indie web animation: Xombie.
Xombie: Dead on Arrival - Full Series.webm
it does everything the attempts at such nowadays fails at spectacularly: it uses old cliches to tell an actually compelling story that has been thoroughly planned out. There are weak spots (Zoe's voice not remotely fitting the character design most of the time, for example). but otherwise, remarkably well made for an early 2000s Flash series. The sequel series, Dead Ahead, is also remarkably good too (at least, what's been released so far).
No joke, I was looking up that The Matrix has You collab from Legendary Frog, and this popped into my head only to find the series was uploaded on youtube 4 months ago. Good stuff. Super memorable.

That alongside more writers, at least for the most part, really need a lesson on "The Squint Test". Maybe not every single piece of media but if you're trying to create something fun and exciting you need to make it clear from the get-go that hooks you in like they do.

We all know the real fun is taking Tara Strong lines from Princess Clara in Drawn Together and putting them over Twilight Sparkle from MLP
Sadly, anti-Semitism going mainstream has turned all of those edits into brown retards going "Little did anyone know that Tara wasn't acting when she said this durhurhur #FreePalestine" in the comments.

Can we get a movie about a princess that goes on an adventure or a hero's journey? I mean jesus christ.

I think I've been here too long if I'm actually starting to see people complain about anti-semitism tourists in a fucking thread about cartoons.
