It sounds like I’m saying the obvious, but The Iron Giant is a really beautifully well done film and the art direction is fantastic. Looking back, I remembered that I used to have my Burger King Happy Meal toy of the plastic Iron Giant. Yet, somehow it disappeared without a trace many years ago.

(:_(

Though, I’m sure a 10 year old child who found it probably liked it and saved it for nostalgia’s sake.

Read the comments under this video and tell me some of them aren't retarded. Oh my gosh. People with disabilities are such sacred cows. Holy crap. Let's enlist a guy in a wheelchair to fight in Ukraine!

Motherfucking assholes, the Thief and the Cobbler has gone through the grind so much, the version where he's mute still exists. But, sure, his really deep voice in the end after marrying Yummy Buns is so befitting. He sounds like a guy twice his age.

According to Richard Williams, Sean Connery was set to record Tack's one line, but never showed up at the studio, so the line was instead performed by a friend of his wife's.

Thug tug owner; Hey! Who blew this bubble?!

*pops tiny bubble with a hard punch*

Owner: You all know the rule!

The thug tug patrons in monotone unison: all bubble blowin babies will be beaten senseless by every able bodied patron in the bar.

Terry McGurrin, a voice actor and writer who worked on Fresh TV's cartoons, answered this tweet, in regards to the upcoming Total Drama reboot:

Is this supposed to be a reassuring statement, or does even he not know how it will turn out?

“Fans are different and I’m not even gonna pretend to predict how they’ll react, but I think we did a good job with it.”

So I know this out of the blue? But does anyone else think Star vs the forces of evil is the best villain orgin story ever? As in our main hero commits unspeakable genocide and gets away with it in the end. That'd evil in my opinion.
Nah, too cliche IMO.
I never liked Daron Nefcy in the first place but either how the shit got serious so quicky.
Gravity Falls got a better build up.
I really blame how AT made mainstream that type of crap meanwhile ATLA done that formula years ago.

I am pretty sure the only divide in TDI fans is deciding on weather Island or World Tour was the best season.

I think it is pretty unanimous that TDI was great, TDA was an inferior retread of TDI, TDWT was great, TDROTI is mixed, TDAS was shit, TDPI was somehow shittier, The Ridonculous Race was a great change of pace, and DramaRama is mixed, being shit but has its moments.

Yeah, I remember how they reacted to the fan project "Total Drama Reunion" because lots of fans was fed up with Dramarama and Christian Potenza gived his input about this. No need to guess how some Youtubers reacted.

Some Youtubers reposted the first and only episode of Total Drama Reunion. Still more enjoyable than Dramarama.

TDAS should have been set after TDPI which would have allowed some members of the TDPI cast meeting the first 2 gens. It's a bit sad then only Leonard meet some of the first-gen contestants in the Ridonculous Race.

personally i'd rank it as this

TDI: good
TDA: great, even if it was an obvious retread (still pissed that Harold got booted)
TDWT: really great, Aalejandro was a great villain in this one (would've loved Cody to win)
TDROTI: meh
TDAS: 1st half was ok, but later half was the absolute drizzling shits
TDPI: shittier
Redonculous Race: step in the right direction

Vikingskool, the new show by Cartoon Saloon (the Kilkenny-based animation studio that produced the films The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, The Breadwinner adaptation, and Wolfwalkers, as well as the animated shows Skunk Fu!, Anam an Amhrain, Puffin Rock, and Dorg Van Dango 😬 ) has just started airing on Disney Channel France and France tv's Okoo animation programming block: https://www.france.tv/france-4/vikingskool/

Yeah, it's quite a downgrade, both in terms of art style and animation. In my opinion, it's okay, be it certainly isn't going to be ; anyway here's a thread on /co/mblr, where anons bitch about the race-swapping of the long-nosed kids and bitch about those complaining about the race-swap, too:

Me personally? The sing movies are OK.. Just OK, good for killing an afternoon or putting on for background noise at a kid's birthday party but not exactly runaway hits.

Though I do agree with Mark in that it's a shame after almost a decade illumination refuses to grow or change as a company beyond making movies that at best are OK as background noise. Come on illumination if Sony pictures animation can hit rock bottom with the emoji movie then turn around just a year later and make Spiderman into the spider verse which beat Disney, Pixar, and Indian paintbrush (though really does it take much to be better than Ralph breaks the internet?) for an Oscar why can't you?

It's a shame, but I guess some companies stick to what works best for them, and if Illumination wants to make more of the modern equivalent to Animalympics, so be it.

I’m of the unpopular opinion that the only reason to watch Sing is to hear Matthew McConaughey do voice overs without the Lincoln™ cars by his side

How did Villainous pan out? I watched a few shorts and they looked very interesting to me but unfortunately, I don't have cable (lul who does) and I won't shell out for an HBO subscription even at gunpoint.

So I just watch the amphibia finale. I won't lie it was heartfelting

[
] I have to say I didn't relaize the two female frogs were lesbians. Honselty I'm fine with it helps that I find the two funny to be honset[

It had already been a somewhat popular ship in the fandom apparently. It’s not annoying (outside being the token lesbian romance) but it was insufferable hearing everyone screech about that and the bi sticker.

I Haven't seen anyone of your people post anything from the National Film Board of Canuckistan yet, they have some pretty good animations.
