Watched a few Bob's Burgers episode. They are nice but goddamn the kids can really deserve a beating most of the time their on-screen (especially when they sabotage their own livelihood). I really prefer the older cast subplot than the kids'.
I think that’s the point to show just how annoying kids and young teens can be at that age, but I do agree they’ve suffered from flanderisation a fair bit in recent seasons. I think the writers are finally starting to experience post gold age Simpsons burnout, so are trying to shove them into as much trouble for creating artificial conflict to fill up an episode. It’s a shame really, hope the upcoming movie lives up to the shows first four seasons brilliance.

I seem to recall this being fairly popular in the UK, although that might be me confusing it with Shaun the Sheep. The UK likes its cartoon barnyard animals for some reason.
Not just Barnyard Animals. This got more than a few episodes.

And contained zero traumatic moments.

For me it's sometimes watching the episodes involving school and immediately realizing how much I've been through these moments in my youth in the 80's and 90's. We've all known a Tammy, a Zeke, a Millie and so on.

Just want to point out that both Shark Tale and Madagascar have been trending in the last 48 hours on social media due to Will Smith and Chris Rock getting involved in an entanglement at the Oscars.

I have now been brought back to the years 2004-2005 and it’s not really for a good reason at all.

While Fairly Odder is mostly live-action, the 2D animated parts makes the flash animation in Fairly Oddparent's final season look like a masterpiece.

Adult Swim’s April Fools joke essentially being one massive Learning With Pibby teaser makes me hope to god they’ve greenlit the series, because that trail from a while back had me super excited.

It's greenlit, just waiting until its production is almost over. Smiling Friends was announced the same way.

so the new episode is quite good, actually. Very little Lumity (thank god) and no Eda's mental illness drama
Hunter is the best boy, it's amazing how the most interesting characters in this show are male (Lilith was horribly wasted, fuck the writers).
pls make Hunter x Willow canon, Dana

edit: niggas who memed the gay pinocchio movie slept on this:
"WE GONNA SEND YOU BACK TO THE PHALLICE"

The hype is real but personally I'm not feeling it. This show doesn't seem to have much substance beyond its horror gimmick and the CN cameos. I do get the appeal of a show like this though, It really taps into the Horror fandom with stuff like FNAF and Poppy Playtime and such, if those numbers are to be believed. Maybe that's the cynic in me talking but whatever, the optimist in me hopes it'll live up to the hype, like Primal season 2 part 2.

The interesting aspect of Pibby is the trailer’s suggestion that the point isn’t “Look, it’s corrupted nostalgia! The horror is all the old characters you used to love, now wrong!” as it is “This is a child character having to mature to deal with an apocalypse, the nostalgia is set dressing.” It’s yet to be seen whether or not the now-inevitable full series or miniseries can live up to that premise and not just fall into the former category, though I’m optimistic that it can.
