Cool. The only other lolcow racer is Sonichu Racers, and it's shit.

So wait, what engine are you guys using? Do you guys have a modeler and a texture artist? Who's programming?
I'm not trying to volunteer, as I can't do any of that stuff, I'm just curious.

I hope Chris and Barb are separate characters. Chris riding in Sonchu and Barb sleeping in a recliner on wheels.

I'm doing at least some of the assets. I can model, texture and do basic animation.

This was literally just an idea I threw around in chat yesterday. I didn't expect a thread to be made about it. Although I would be doing the programming as I have quite a bit of experience with it. it's just really weighing the benefits of an engine to use at this point. I'm looking mostly at Unity and Unreal Engine (probably UDK for ease of licensing since there's no way in hell anyone could legitimately license this short of converting the assets to original characters). Both engines use C++ and I've done a lot of programming in it.

I also have some animation experience, although the software for it was pretty limited and the extent of my knowledge is also limited. Like I said, it's just an idea I mentioned that escalated a bit more than I thought it would.

Unity is a programmer's dream. Wheras the UDK is just slightly easier to develop on.

I know the devs for that remake of Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines chose to redo the project on Unity because it allowed for a greater deal of flexibility. However they mentioned if they did it on UDK it'd likely take less time but they'd have to remove a lot of features.

Sounds good. But I should probably let you know that your game will never be as good as the greatest Unity racing game ever made:
(which by the way is actually a lot of fun)

I don't have any knowledge of programming or game design or anything like that, but perhaps the Sonichu medallion can be the equivalent to the Power Star in Mario Kart. It's one idea I have to throw out there.

Is this still going? If it is, I think pickles and a Deagle gun would be good weapons. Tracks should include CWCville, Nava-verse and any other locations from ORIGINAL CREATIONS made by lolcows.

By the way, there's a Sonichu-related racing game:

Too bad Fishkill won't be able to make this since he's in Holden's rape basement.
