Were Gwar ever actually good?

First two albums are funny. Rest are boring.

When I was a kid my friends would go to Gwar shows in plain white t-shirts so they could show off their theater blood/puke/whatever stains at school the next day. Gwar weren't local but seemed to be in my town all the time. Never made it to a show.
