I think I can kinda see why feet (especially women's feet) are a common and popular fetish. Women's shoes range from platform heels and pumps to dagger heeled boots. Women's shoes are by design meant to be sexy or at least can be. Also consider that women wear things like pantyhose or fishnet stockings or boots that can be tigh high long. Heels and pumps also elongate legs in general, so it all comes together.
 
I know inflation has been mentioned here and I continue to not understand it. I just want to provide a bit more context for those who are unfamiliar.
The comments section of this video is a complete goldmine and has helped me realize that more people are into it than I initially thought.

Yeah the issue though is that footfags are like into toe jam and sweaty feet and other rank or dirty aspects of feet.

Apparently foot fetishes were a thing in ancient china (who would'e guessed), and smaller feet was and is seen as attractive. Foot binding is a genuine problem there, a shitton of women have deformed feet because it so rovery. That's a major culture of the world succumbed to the degeneracy of f e e t.

This. My ex was into feet and didn't work his way up. He only wanted to see bare feet to tickle and give him the foot version of a handy. I legit am not sure if he really desired proper sex.

I've always been fascinated by weird fetishes. The weirdest one I've ever read about was a guy from Kraftt-Ebing's Psychopathia Sexualis whose fetish was to dirty his hands with coal and then sit in a room with a mirror. I think when women talk about having a rape fantasy what they actually mean in pretty much every case is a ravishment fantasy, they just don't know how to articulate it.

To "ravish" originally meant "to seize" and "carry away" by force, which may sound like it's necessarily synonymous with rape but isn't:

Agreed. I had to explain the difference to a friend of mine a while back because he thought his gf had a rape fantasy and he was at a loss...lol Not sure how anyone would be into being screwed against their will, isn't that paradoxical?
 
I find that when talking about weird fetishes like balloons, feet, vore, scat, or something you look at and say "that is a very specific kink" I just want to understand what makes it attractive. I've heard a few explanations from vore people say that it's something about being in a tight wet space, or with feet people it's something about the way the feet are shaped with all the little creases and shit like that. I'm equal parts confused, disgusted, and curious all at once.

Scat intrigues me the most. There's most likely been a fair amount of people who thought they were into it and wanted to try it with a partner, only to be physically repulsed at the act.

I think an interesting podcast might be to have guests come in that have strange fetishes and be questioned and interviewed about it and just try to make sense of it. And tbh I even thought about starting something like that but ultimately I don't think there's enough of an audience for that kind of thing.

Most fetishes have some sort of connection with childhood and the way neurons form connections during puberty where a sexual experience and something unrelated kind of click together forming a fetish. I can't imagine what events caused some of these extreme fetishes.(barring getting into it through another kink or being a dopamine deprived gooner)
