The other night I dreamed that it snowed here. I'm talking like maybe 3-4 feet of snow that it covered my yard and came up to the front door of my house. The problem with that is that I live in Florida. My deceased great-uncle also appeared in that dream and him and I were having a nice chat on the front porch which was lovely.

I keep having this dream where I'm driving around in the neighborhood me and my wife used to live in before we had kids, and I go to our old house and start doing maintenance on it, only for the current owners to find me and freak out, so I scramble to leave, run to my car, get in and start driving and then I crash, ending the dream.

My dream analysis of this is that I think subconciously I miss our old house. Me and my Dad poured blood sweat and tears into that house, spending over half a year renovating it. It was never gonna be a good family home and the neighborhood was going to shit by the time we left, so I don't even know why I have this dream so often when I don't really feel regret over selling and moving. Maybe the phrase "nostalgia is a drug" is actually true 🤣

I just woke up from a nap and I had a weird dream that I was banned for no reason given on here.
I guess that's a sign that I've been wasting too much time scrolling on here lately.
Weird part is that there was an inception part of the dream where I woke up, logged into my computer to check if I was dreaming, and I wasn't. So when I woke up for real and did it, I genuinely was wondering if I had been banned.
Second time this week I've had a strange inception-type dream too.

Had my first lolcow dream in awhile. I was living in my parents' house apparently, but it was somewhere completely different. Down the street, a neighbor had a shack in their side yard, and Polissa moved into it. For reasons unknown, I went down the street to the shack and was sitting there with Poorlissa, Joh, and some other people. (She did not have ears even from the side, which I found very funny.) After awhile, an IRL neighbor cat from the apartment I'm actually living at wandered in, and Pissa decided that, despite it having a collar, she just had to have it, so I picked it up and ran away with it.

I had a nightmare that I was watching a Youtube review of Super Mario Bros 2 on Famicom, except the levels were going around in a circle, kind of like the planets in the Super Mario Galaxy games.

I got sucked into the game, which looked like an 8 bit game on the outside, but actually resembled real life on the inside. Everybody was in costumes and sitting in seats inside a round stadium, watching scary monster people in the middle. The scary monster people started trying to pin us down, using magic to start forming metal around our legs so we would be stuck in the seats. I managed to kick my legs out before the metal burned my skin and formed around my legs. I ended up running through the crowds, jumping over the railing and running through the middle of the stadium desperately trying to find the exit out of the game. I somehow willed myself out, back in front of my friend's computer watching the review. The game still looked like Super Mario Bros 2, but I knew it was like on the inside.

I had this dream before. I have no idea why I dreamed it twice now.

I didn't take my SSRI yesterday and took a trazodone on top of it which always creates a perfect storm for me of extremely intense, vivid, and long dreams. I had last night what I call a "marathon" dream where I have three or four distinct dreams with different settings and premises that roll seamlessly into each other back to back to back without waking up.

Anyway, I'm not going to describe them all because it would literally be a novel, but in one of them a kid I went to high school with played a key role. I wouldn't even call him a friend, he was just a guy who was in my graduating class twenty years ago. I literally have never thought about him since I graduated, and really never thought about him when I was going to school with him. Yet he appeared in my dream in a key roll, I knew his name, his face, how he dressed, etc. It's such a bizarre thing. How deep did I have to dig into my psyche to pull him out? And why? So strange.

Last night I had a dream about the GameBoy Advance version of Tony Hawk's Underground 2. In the dream, there was a level simply titled "MALL" that was a pixelated version of Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, just a linear third-person downhill challenge. It also suffered from severe slowdowns, which pissed me off.

I'm neither autistic nor do I do drugs, so I have no idea what that's all about.

Had one a couple of days ago: I went for a piss, found a fat fucking huge ladybird the size of a dung beetle, in the bathroom, and very gently set it down on the upper rim of the toilet, just above the bowl. I groggily go to piss most of the time, and saunter back to bed, so I thought it was real, until around late yesterday. It freaked me out so much on some subconscious, but conscious (knowing some ladybirds can be poisonous), level, that, when I went for a walk that same day, I jolted and swiped when an actual ladybird landed on me.

@Zirnwyb Funny you talk about that, 'cos last night I watched a Dr G episode where there was a snowstorm in Texas (it was a potential murder case (at first), so they wanted Good Old Doc Jan, who works in Florida, to investigate), and some poor old bugger slipped off his patio, on some ice.

I had a dream I went on vacation to this hotel in southern Florida. It was alongside two rivers that somehow would get slushy and frozen as it got next to the hotel. It was the most beautiful place, and I wish it were real.

Then I started parkouring around my town and climbed on top of a gas station. I was concerned that people inside would be annoyed at my footsteps, so I jumped down.

Had a dream within a dream for the first time in years. In the internal dream, I was in some sort of classroom - unsure if it was supposed to be high school or college - and the instructor was stumbling all around the room. A guy I went to high school with, who I was sort of friends with, but haven't spoken to since graduating over 15 years ago, decided to jump on top of me and my desk, and I couldn't get out from under him. He was saying some weird shit that I don't remember, and destroyed some school supplies while he was holding me down in the desk. Eventually it evolved to some other location where he was trying to steal something from me, then I "woke up" into another dream.

In the outermost dream, I woke up in my bed, thinking that the guy from high school would never really do that in real life as I poured some sort of gravy or something into a takeout container. As I did so and got out of bed, my bed shifted into being made of hardwood flooring, which was apparently normal. I then took this takeout container of gravy that I had so meticulously filled to the brim on top of my bed, walked to the bathroom, and carefully placed it in the garbage. I then walked out of my bedroom - which seemed to be my IRL bedroom - into a different house, and the dream slowly evolved into some sort of GTA/post-apocalyptic/what-the-fuck-ever kind of thing where there were monsters hunting everyone.

Had a long & detailed dream that felt.. weirdly religious? Like a premonition? I can't really explain it, but it left me with a weird feeling throughout the day.

I was inside of a huge mall, just walking around, looking at stuff. At some point, I was in an open main area and noticed that I'd lost my shoes and socks somewhere, so I was walking around barefoot. Me and other people were waiting for the elevator (which was in the middle of the room, some fancy open-concept kind of elevator), but it took forever to show up.

My partner texted me and asked if we still had rucola at home - I texted him back, sarcastically, that no, today of all days we probably don't have any.
(it's rare for me to be able to read words properly in dreams)

Just when I was about to walk away from the elevator, it popped out of the ground, but it was filled with water that started spilling out. As if the whole downstairs area was flooded with water. The water was clear and slightly blue, not nasty or disgusting.

Then water started to come in from 'seams' in the walls of the mall, dripping down from the ceiling. People around me were confused but didn't panic. I walked out of the hall and through the mall, hoping for a way out. Water was everywhere. Through the windows I saw that the sky was blue, and it wasn't rainwater pushing into the mall, but it must've come from 'inside' the mall.

While I was walking, the phrase "it's a biblical plague" rang through my mind.

At some point I reached a "mall church", or basically a huge baroque-style church hall that was built from red bricks, just sitting inside of the mall. It was completely dry compared to the rest of the mall. Inside there were a few people, but they didn't react to me; they seemed like wax statues. At the end of the church, a fat priest sat inside a big, elevated chair and was eating caviar with his bare hands while sobbing and crying hysterically. He also didn't react to me trying to talk to him.

I checked the windows inside the church to see if I could climb out through them, but they only led to more hallways that were already flooded by the weirdly blue water. I walked out of the church and reached a big set of double glass doors where the water was already rising, threatening to burst the doors. "Guess I'll have to drown for this dream to end", was the last thought I had before waking up.

I had a dream where I was in this house and I was sleeping in a big room located at the front of the house. I was woken up in the middle of the night by a light and I could see that the bow window (long curved window) was not covered by a curtain so this woman dressed in a white nightgown is shining a flashlight in the room from the outside and she comes around to the side of the window that is facing me.

She shines the light on me then opens the window and leaps on the edge of the window and I could see her face is a black void and she has feathered hair like Farrah Fawcett. She then leaps to the ground crawling on all fours and takes off towards the bathroom that was right next to my bed.

I get up and turn the light on in the bathroom and she is darting around and glitching like the Matrix or something and then she disappears. I look in the mirror and see that I'm 12 years old with hair and clothes from the 1980s. My parents walk in to see what is going on and when I look towards their direction I see that the room expanded into what now looks like a greenhouse with a really high windowed ceiling. I tell them everything is fine then I woke up.

I think this was the first time I had a scary dream where I didn't want to wake up just yet. I know how this dream happened, I'm always deep into my own thoughts. So on that day I was thinking about how cool would it be to live in the 80s and live in a haunted house or a greenhouse.

Dreamed I had about 50 white tube socks which had been braided together which I was buttering like a croissant or something.

This was one of those extra weird ones when you're still semi-awake. I think I heard somewhere that Salvador Dali would get his ideas from depriving himself of sleep for multiple days and then sitting in a chair with a metal spoon balanced on the edge of a bowl with his hand supporting it. When he would doze off the spoon would fall down into the bowl and the sound of it clattering would wake him up.

I remember that when I was a kid, I once had a weird dream where a crescent moon shaped lantern on the wall turned into something akin to fucking moonman.
I didn't know about the moonman and mac tonight at this age.

Last night I had my latest weird dream featuring an elevator not operating normally.

This time, I was apparently supposed to go on a family vacation. All my bags were pack and loaded up for the trip to the airport. For whatever reason, I wasn't at home and instead in a building with an elevator I needed to take to leave the building and get into the car for the airport.

The car arrives at my floor and opens. A woman beside me goes to enter and the doors almost immediately try to slam shut while she's in the doorway - as if the electric eye is broken. Instead of injuring her, however, the doors bounce open again. She's apparently uninjured, but she was so shaken by the experience she pulls away and nopes out of going in again. Someone else tries to enter the elevator and has the same experience as the woman. I decide I'm not even going to try to enter myself.

The scene abruptly cuts and I'm now in a different place discovering my family left for the airport without me. I'm a bit ticked off that none of them figured out I was missing before they left, and I'm further angered when I realize it's apparently too late for me to take myself to the airport to check in and catch the flight myself. I wake up as I wonder what's going to happen with my luggage as I believe airlines won't fly the luggage of anyone who never boards a flight.

Last night, I ended up with a dream in which I eventually noticed that there anomalously was a kind of scorpion attached to my forearm. In this dream, this scorpion specifically appeared to be like a Heteroctenus junceus, except it was largely translucent and homogeneously colored of a highly chromatic, tangerine orange except for some extensors like wings, where the material transitioned to a deep blue or turquoise. It also seemed that its thorax were shorter. On my arm, it was attached with its legs as they were wrapped around the limb, clamping onto it, and I saw that the end its tail ran eerily close to my skin near the wrist, if it wasn't already touching already.

Fearful of its venom, I picked up nearby scissors and prepared to swiftly cut the tail off before it could possibly sting my arm. Eventually, I did successfully cut the tail as I was able to suddenly separate the stinger from the tail in one quick action. I was then able to take it off; however, I noticed several rashes or welts on my skin in place of where the scorpion's body and tail end were adjacent to. Despite becoming concerned that I had already been stung, the dream continued on as a middling experience as I seemed to eventually disregard or forget the visual symptoms.

Once I had a dream where I rented a sci-fi horror movie from the 80s or 90s called "Flight of the Triumphant Scorpion". In the movie, people would ingest scorpion-like parasites called "goa'uni" (probably a combination of "goa'uld" and the the South Indian surname "Gouni") which would make them physically stronger, more alert, more energetic and quick to react in dangerous situations, but also make them more aggressive and impulsive. They would also physically transform into human-scorpion hybrids similar to David Cronenberg's remake of the fly, with legs, tails or heads or pinchers of scorpions growing out of their backs or limbs. There were plenty of action scenes with people yelling at each other and fighting with their scorpion limbs. Not sure what to make of this one.

Last year I had a meandering dream that eventually turned into me waking up on what I immediately knew to be a hotel bed. With my dream eyes still shut I rolled myself from one side to the other, which bumped me up against something large and fleshy.

I opened my eyes and came face to face with Chantal ratfacing at me.

I jolted upright, wide awake l hustled myself into the shower.

I rank this dream segment as the 8th most intense dream segment I can recall. The absolute intensity of my revulsion and disgust was nuts.
