>tfw you've been buying the organic hormone free antibiotic free pasture raised eggs for the last ten years, not due to ethical concerns but purely because you don't trust the FDA or USDA to do anything and want to minimize the risk of consuming poison, and the price has stayed exactly the same because they were already $5-6 and Biden didn't mass genocide the healthy chickens for some reason

:)
The reason why we have this problem to begin with is because the United States has near totalitarian regulations that are put in place by government to protect big AG companies. There are less than 8 companies that account for 99% of all meat and animal products consumed in the United States. Food production is centralized to such an extent that any logistical issues immediately cause a price reaction.

The USDA and FDA exist solely to create barriers of entry for anyone looking to compete against these massive conglomerates. If you thought this was bad, as a double fuck-you these AG conglomerates and meatpackers are directly responsible for mass migration into the country and lobby for open border policies. They are the largest employers of illegals and use them as a source of cheap labor, refusing to pay American citizens. It's estimated that 50% to 90% of the meatpacking work force is illegals.

Everytime you hear about an E. coli outbreak or Salmonella outbreak or recall or something, this is happening at the proecssing level. The illegals they employ don't practice any hygiene, don't wash their hands, and are in constant close quarters. This is also why tubercolusis and diseases that haven't been around for decades are coming back. It's all downstream of this.

The influence that the Big AG sector has on government outweighs that of any special interest group or foreign lobby. They have what AIPAC could only ever dream about.

And no one cares. This flies completely under the radar of the average American. When prices are high it's "inflation" or "Biden" or "Trump" or whatever the fuck is politically relevant at the time. The blame never falls on those directly responsible. The executives of these companies make money hand over fist with profits steadily increasing year over year as they continue to destroy the country.

The products they do produce are poison to the body. Factory farming and CAFO operations produce adrenalized, chemical pumped soy-fed meat that only serves to make the body sick and weak. People will critize shit like the Impossible Whopper without realizing that eating most meat is just eating soy by proxy.

Soy, the bulk of which is for animal feed is fully subsidized by the government and USDA. Soy monoculture farming is an environmental disaster and is permanently destroying layers of topsoil and accelerating soil erosion that would normally take centuries. In less than 10 years there will not be enough arable land in the United States to support it's population and status as a net agricultural exporter. This may sound like something a global warming alarmist would say but it's a real danger. And not one of these issues is discussed FUCKING EVER. Instead it's always """Muh global warming""" or other nonsense virtue signalling hysteria.

The FDA and USDA need to be completely abolished. Only when food production can be distributed like every other country on earth will these issues be fixed. Read "Everything I Want to Do Is Illegal" by Joe Saladin.

Start with less milk and see how your digestion handles it. I'm a big White farmstock fuck, I can drink it like water but see how you handle a pint a day and work your way up.
Otherwise, milk is great and a bulking staple.

I've been tracking my protein intake since that last post, and I'm basically meeting target incidentally every day because of my regular diet. Cereal with milk in the morning, meat-containing meal in the evening, usually something not complete junk between the two when I get hungry. If I happen to not be having meat for dinner that day, I can have a snack of minced beef or chicken. Very good very good.

Hit 260kg (572lbs) on deadlift a few weeks back, felt great. Going for 280kg in 2 weeks (616lbs) and if that goes through, will be attempting 300kg (660lbs) at a proper powerlifting gym. Been absolutely gobbling down protein lately, in the range of 300-350g/day for recovery.

Thinking back to my time in the Army and fuck was that some of the stupidest exercise I've ever done. Pretty much the definition of "work harder not smarter".

Take burpees for example. I don't care how many burpees you do it's not going to increase the amount you can bench by any meaningful amount. Nor is that jump going to increase your squat. I remember one time going to a proper gym and a Sergeant was giving me shit because instead of constantly doing exercise every 10 seconds I actually understood the importance of rest periods in between my lifts. He was shit talking as if I was some lazy fuck then when it comes time to deadlift I end up pulling hundreds of more pounds for reps than his ass.

It’s training for endurance vs strength. Deadlifting 300kg won’t impress anyone on a battlefield if you’re gassing out after short run.

I get what you're saying but do not think that being strong means you can't have endurance or speed. I'm pretty slow when there's nothing weighing me down. However when we were weighed down with a bunch of equipment, armor, etc. I was running like Sonic the Hedgehog in comparison to everyone else.

If you have to carry body armor and a bunch of equipment then having the strength to carry it makes a massive difference. Strength and endurance aren't separate stats like in a video game. You have strength and it will help in endurance when you're carrying heavy weight for miles on end.

A few friends are bouncers and they love it when (black) massive guys who spend way too much time in the gym have too much Colombian up their nose and think they can fight a boxer.

They tire out VERY quickly and hit the floor very hard versus the guy dancing around them who is much smaller than them.

Hopefully there are guys less retarded than me who can explain it better, but it’s also why you don’t see very many British soldiers who look like juicers. You can lift more than them but drop you both in the middle of a jungle and only one off you is trekking out of it.

"Let me tell you why being strong is actually a disadvantage in a fight."

Fight a boxer and let me know how it works out for you.
You know boxing has different weight classes for a reason right? For as good as Floyd Merryweather is from a technical standpoint there is a reason you won't ever see him in a fight against someone like Butterbean. Do you think Floyd Merryweather could beat Butterbean in a real fight? Do you think he could beat Brock Lesnar in a real fight?

And yes I've actually done sparring with people with boxing gloves and all. Since it's sparring you aren't really allowed to go full out like a real fight so a lot of the boxing ended up just being mind-games. A tap on the head with your boxing glove, then a light tap on the head and people will think that's a big deal.

Been focusing a lot on fixing my bad-shoulder-related uneven forward pushing issue since the start of the year and it's sucked a whole lot. Finally managed a 2x305 bench last month though so it's back on par with my pec fly. Really happy about that, although sore.

My gym replaced almost all their machines in the last week or so with weird modernist black powdercoated metal ones, and as part of this they got rid of the old leg press machine (janky faded plastic and steel 1990s relic, 800+LB with counterweight). Watching an entire crew of 10+ hispanic dudes loudly wrestle the thing Pikmin-style out the fire doors was way more entertaining than it should've been. They had an audience and got applause.

Yeah but would you rather have a sword that does 100 damage with 1 attack per second or 10 damage with 10 attacks per second?
10 damage with 10 hits per second means more damage due to dodge interruptions and also more chances for on-hits to proc :)

G'day. I'm not sure if this is the right thread to ask for advice, but I thought I would shoot my shot.
I am wanting to try to build strength, just everywhere, in general. However, I have a leg injury that impedes a lot of my choices (My knee likes to dislocate, might need surgery :(). Is there much I can do in the safety and comfort of my living room? I am a short foid with no understanding of the muscle men's ways. Before my injury my workouts just consisted of a lot of biking and running, so I don't understand a lot of the terminology in this thread. I've asked my boyfriend but he works long days so he isn't really able to help between work and sleep outside of translating pounds to kilograms and showing me what a deadlift is. I think I could get him to show me any workouts you guys mention, he was a big gym nut before he moved in with me and started working. Thanks in advance. :)

Have you looked into any physical therapy?

Have you looked into any physical therapy?
Yeah I see a physio on a regular basis. Lot of stretches and working on balance and evening out the strength between both legs. I'm in a bit of a limbo with it since we are both waiting to see if I need surgery or not. We have no idea how hard to push.
