@69 cis men, if you work out 20-30 minutes and got a sweat going on tonight, this is actually a
really good day. 1400 calories is what someone your weight/height should be eating if they are somewhat active and that's more or less what you are going for now. Again, slightly too many carbs and could do with a bit more proteins, but this is really not a reason to beat yourself up you're right where you want to be calories wise and like, 80% there in terms of macros.
It's not powerleveling at all by the way, and it explains your situation. You definitely need to be aware of why you are in the situation you are in order to combat it and change for the better. The way to get used to normal eating is pretty simple: to eat normally. I know it sounds counter-intuitive but again its basically about knowing how much calories daily you should consume, and same thing for proteins/fat/carbs. That's all it is for the most part. The rest is about the quality of what you eat. Look, I don't know the exact list of what you ate and the exact list of macros down to vitamins and all that, but from what I see you should be happy because you're definitely not doing something wrong (as long as you are logging your calories accurately of course). As long as those calories come mostly from wholesome food (fruits, vegetables, nuts, meats, etc...) and you're not just eating doritos or sugary starbucks drinks you are
definitely going in the right direction.
Always remember: you're not on a diet, you are simply going from a sedentary to more active lifestyle and the changes your are making are geared toward that. The biggest thing you have to work on right now is making sure you stay motivated to exercise 3 days a week and go powerwalking 3 days a week with one day of rest, and you are golden. Don't sweat the diet too much just try not to go over 1,500 (and make sure you are logging stuff accurately).
Even what I said about working out and sweating doesn't really apply if you gave it your best two days ago and yesterday. You could just be going for a powerwalk (just walk a reasonably fast peace for half an hour or so with upbeat music to keep you motivated) and draw today as a win. Because it is. You went to eat out and instead of overeating like most people do, you ended up well within your target zone in terms of calories.
So be happy, go for a walk, and keep posting!
