Is ANN going to get their own Community Watch thread? Or should we wait once they go under and they scatter like cockroaches to put them in their individual lolcow pins?

Hope has her own thread, which seems to be what we've been using before this current shit show.

I think this is fine for now. After the dust settles, I don't even know if ANN will be around. You might see individual threads on the most exceptional people. Some of them ain't gonna be happy.

I just hope their database can be saved. It's legit good.

It is almost certainly Christopher MacDonald's apartment. The 4410 is the street address, and the #402 would be the specific apartment.

Mind you, they appear to have done the bare minimum to legally incorporate. You can incorporate out of a residential address. But this also strongly suggests they have fuck all in terms of assets. MacDonald is the "CEO." You've got people like Hope and Zac out in California barely scraping by.

They're fucked if they have any sort of substantial judgement against them.

They’re fucked if they have to so much as hire a lawyer. Vic’s crowdfunded legal fund is larger then ANN’s reported annual revenue. Not profits mind you, revenue.

According to Manta.com, which is a small business website, Anime News Network makes a $97,120 annual revenue with one employee. Is this employee Christopher MacDonald?

Also, who was the person who wrote the "Far from Perfect" article? Does anyone know how much he/she makes, or at least have an estimated guess?

Is it odd that a guy who makes $97,000 a year lives in an apartment complex?

Unless he or an accountant shares that revenue with his constituents in some way.

He lives in Montreal, which is an expensive city. P,us that number is likely in Canadia Dollars not US dollars... so actual value = slightly better than Pesos.

Which does make you wonder about any “off the books” revenue streams. Figure Chapman and the Gay by proxy boyfriend are contractors, not internal employees. They still need some sort of paying. $97k Canadian won’t go that far.

He also has the apartment right next to his university, the Université de Montréal, according to his LinkedIn page.

Here's his summary. It might show some of his character to some people.

Lol. Also, it should be "Shane Holmberg's", not "Shane Holmbergs'". Sorry, it's just me being picky.

Holy fuck! He still lives in his student apartment... 19 fucking years later. I think we might have hit peak Autism? Like true Peter Pan levels of manchild. Just the thought makes Shane seem like a responsible grown up with a history of good life decisions by comparison. How is it that every rock we turn over just leads ever deeper into some new undocumented and unsurpassed example of human failure? No wonder they all hate Vic? He’s seemingly the only adult in this weird tribe of weebling lost boys.

Don’t they all already all have individual threads? We’re starting to get into some weird whirlpool of lolcow inception type shit. Every thing is connected, and with every connection it just gets more and more fucking retarded.

It's an anime Rat King.

Inb4 Vic is actually Marzgurl's father, and this has all been an elaborate cry for attention.

The Jerry Springer episode for this would be bananas.

How does Vic and BHBH sue a Canadian corporation if they choose that strategy? Would the owners of that company be compelled to travel to Texas to defend themselves or would Vics lawyers have to travel to Canada?

Depends on whether they sue them in Texas or Canada. They're much more likely to sue in Texas. Why would they make things easier? More of the defendants are in Texas, all the events occurred in Texas or had their effects there, most of the necessary witnesses are in Texas, the plaintiff does business in Texas (and the business the case is about), so the case is likely to be heard in Texas, according to Texas law, whether it is in Texas state court or federal court.

One more for good measure: Texas.

In all seriousness, do you think ANN even has a lawyer on retainer? Or will it be each of the employees involved bringing in their own respective lawyers?

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if there were any rules for people that live in another country. So same with individual parties; you either show up in Texas (if you're sued there) and defend yourself, or you potentially risk losing by default judgement? Some of these Twitter idiots might be fucked just by being too broke to afford travel expenses - let alone damages.

"Hey mom, please loan me 500 bucks for a plane ticket, I'm getting sued deep in the heart of Texas"

Maybe Vic will end up owning it and can put it up under new management.

I dunno how Canadian bankruptcy works, but in US bankruptcy, the court has a fair amount of discretion when it comes to auctioning off assets. I don't know if Vic would bid, and I don't think the court would be obligated to accept Vic's bid. Obviously, assets in liquid form, or subsequently liquidated, would go to Vic and his attorneys.

The same way you sue any other company. ANN ain't immune from Texas law if they mess with Texas law.

If ANN puts up a robust round of crowdfunding they might just be able to scrape together enough pocket change and Tim Horton's coupons to hire that disbarred dude that the Honey Badgers used.
