webm and webp are detestable, the amount of conversions you have to do to make them work with very average software... I hate them so much. I had to strip the audio of a webm because converting it to MP4 (so I can load it into my video software) kept turning the audio into loud pitched screeches. Something that should have taken 2 minutes ended up taking 20. It's so horrible.
It would have been easier to just record the fucking thing in VLC with OBS, that's how retarded it was.

I'm fine with smaller formats but the compatibility with normal programs is just so bad. I still haven't found an easy way to get transparent background webps to work.

Was there something particular wrong with webp to begin with? Other than it being a nuisance when a pic opens in a web browser.
