I'm currently looking for a replacement and I still don't want to spend more than $250/€215. Analog, circular case, 39-44mm, blue dial, no bracelet, non-automatic, pereferably no chronograph or date display.
I'd pick the Atlantic over timberland although im not familiar with the brand. Timberland is going to be a shitty fashion watch and likely the same if not worse quality than the timex you had.

Have you considered watches that come on bracelets and getting an aftermarket strap for them? Im sure seiko or citizen will have something in your budget you just might need to change out the bracelet.

Also why not automatic? There are some beautiful watches in that range but they are automatic.

Also here's my random pick to consider for you although its dressier than what you seem to be going for.

I've been using Timex TW4B09000 for the past couple of years and while I love the look, it is a piece of shit. The crown just fell off and it's the third thing that broke in the past couple of months. First it was one of the buttons, followed by backlight.

I like this one a lot. Yeah, I know, a clothing brand watch is probably equally bad as a cheap Timex. I assume that all watches in that price range are like that, though. This is Timberland TDWGA9000603.

Atlantic Seaflight 70351.41.55 is another candidate. I can get it for $250. It's exactly twice the price of the Timberland. If you think it's worth it, please let me know!

Idk why you don't want an automatic, do you mean you want a hand wind movement or a quartz movement? Especially without a chrono, automatics are so common now that they may be cheaper than hand wound.

I think in terms of looks the seiko 5 field watches are what you're after (Link)

No he wants a quartz watch. Probably so he doesn't have to reset it.

Are all bracelets removable? I've always been under the impression it isn't always the case. I wanted to narrow down my research, so I didn't even bother looking at them. As for automatics - I've heard many times how people forget to wind them. I mostly stay at home and use a cheapo digital Casio because it doesn't get in the way. I only use the other watch when I go out. How much do I need to move an automatic to keep it wound up?

Quartz is preferable because I just want to forget about winding. Also, see the reply above. Those Seikos do look very nice, but they're a bit too expensive. I want to draw the line somewhere. I just don't think something as basic and common as a wristwatch should cost more than $250-300. I'm considering SUR517P1, which I can get for $240.

Most automatics have at least a 48-hour power reserve and that'll typically be fully wound just by wearing it during the day. You might have to wind it if there's a couple days you won't be wearing it but if you wear it daily you shouldn't really have to ever wind it.

Most automatic watches have a power reserve of 40 ours or more and if is "un-wound" it only takes about 2 or 3 minutes to reset it, especially if it doesn't have a date function. Unless it has an integrated bracelet like something similar to a tissot PRX or an AP royal oak it's gonna have a removal strap/bracelet.

If you consider $300 or less you have a ton of options. I'd recommend staying away from "seiko mod" watches though they are often bootlegs of other high end brands like rolex or AP with a chinese clone movements inside and seiko branded on the dial.

I'm gonna be the odd faggot out and recommend getting a chinese brand. Seems up your alley. I have repaired and rebuilt breitling, lecoultre, rolex, omega, old lord Seiko and their crazy 70s auto chrono movements, have gotten to co minor repair a lange sohne. I won't link because powerlevel, but I even wrote a write up on blind repairing a super rare Timex quartz movement from the 90s as a Christmas present that was retardedly advanced that there was literally no documentation on I could find on the net.
If you're just looking for a good quartz and you are not a watch guy that is autistically going to care about the brand or providence or servicing or any of the shit we use to justify our wrist candy and just want something that works and doesn't stop working, it's absurdly hard to argue against something like steeldive or addiesdive. I've tested, built, upgraded and given away more aliexpress watches than I care to count and they're all going through things they were never made for and going strong. I'm even looking to get a Boderry Voyager 38 just because I love that movement they use and you are getting a stupid amount of watch for the aliexpress deal price. Now, it is not made for adventures, but I would be ashamed if someone wanted quartz and I didn't point them to the accutron tuning fork movement. I repaired a solid gold model for my father in law that was given to his uncle for his retirement. Don't ask me how I fixed it, I literally have no idea. But he gave it to me after he got his explorer 2 and I can tell you that there is not a single watch movement more deserving of having a battery put in it than the Bulova tuning forks.

If you've been converted to mechanical hit me up and I can give recs that way too.

I also want to be a faggot and plug HELM watches because I was recently talking to a buddy who got signed on at the cop shop about a duty watch to replace his Timex expedition I recommended that if broke in training. I bought my Miyako a year ago and it has been through the same shit I would put my GSHOCK through and has never had a single slight hiccup. These watches are fucking retarded beyond quality for the price. I would literally put my Miyako on for an alien invasion and wouldn't think twice. The testing and QC is far beyond micro brand and even beyond some name brands. The only thing that sucks is the waiting list. But given that it's made by one guy and his like 5 helpers, it makes sense. Get a HELM bros. Believe in me. If I suddenly got Daniel Craig famous tomorrow and could pick a watch brand to ambassador for, it'd be HELM. Followed by Tudor because I still love them and think they can turn it around and stop trying to be a luxury brand.

I'll look at all the brands you mentioned, thanks. Today I'm going to try on the blue Atlantic Seaflight I posted at the bottom of the previous page because it looks like it has pretty much everything I'm looking for. We'll see.

Accuracy is for digital watches, we wear the others for warm fuzzies. I self regulate all my watches when I get them so the accuracy rating means dick to me most times.

What does that actually entail?
Sounds scary, isn't. Especially on modern movements. You buy a cheap timegrapher and then you regulate up or down based on whether the movement is running slow or fast. Beat error is more specific, but still easy with the grapher. How a movement is regulated is dependent on the movement, but for 90 percent of them, you turn a screw or gently move a lever. The ones like Rolex that get adjusted by star nuts are super complicated so I wouldn't first time it if you can help it.

Would've never figured that out. Interesting.
Its useless for the average diver let alone an average person. Its only useful for saturation diving when they live inside a bell or tank with Heliox air.

Helium molecules are so small they can get inside your dive watch and when you get outside of the pressurized environment the helium can make your watches crystal pop out unless you have a helium escape value.

I probably wouldn't get anywhere near a bathroom sink with a $6000 watch!
