First game has an engaging story. Dull protagonist, okay city. You don't need to play the first game to understand the story of the second game.

Gonna pick up Legion since I like the concept. Not sure how well it'll be implemented, but 2 was apparently decent so hopefully it turns out well.

OI, YOU GOT A LISENCE FOR THAT HACKING DEVICE!?

never played the games. heard one was awful and two while better, was not better by much. it looked very cringe.

Second game the devs confused their neckbeard demographic with soyboys, it was hilarious.

Reactions:The Last Stand

dont you mean black people?

In the first game there was that threat in the background about the "Internet of Things" as ctOS gets bigger, with the second and third game it seems that Ubisoft has embraced the Big Tech dream of recording everything, no downside. DeadSec went from a group of whistleblowers to a hipster version of Benetton wanting to get the most "likes" possible on Instagram.
Watch_Dogs Legion is what happens when the gamejournos keep asking why Ubisoft doesn't go full political/TDS. The result is a product that is completely fucked up.

Indeed.

I don't like admitting to people im mentally challenged but ive played almost every ubisoft game of the last decade (side quests and all)

Watch Dogs 1 was amazing with the mods, the ones that give you the e3 experience plus the living city mod which does procedural missions. The multiplayer is quite unique too.

Watch Dogs 2 is easy as shit but its exactly what people expected out of the first one. A world where hacking is the main mechanic instead of a cool side one.

The story and characters in 2 feels like the shitty saturday morning adaptation of the first one (like robocop had or police academy)

The first one was great story wise really mature and outside of the fact that the hero and villian are both white and no one mentions it despite most enemies either being black or police. But 90% of the missions revolve around driving and shooting.

Also i have a hard time believing Pierce was just the weird brother and that wasnt a late production change. It seems more likely that Pierce was the father and gets divorced post-child death

As for the one coming out this week. I 100% believe theyre bullshiting us somehow. At the very least theyre going to restrict so that only certain characters can or cant do missions. Or you can only recruit certain characters post-story or some dumb shit like that. You wont be able to do an all granny run until new game+

The 'what could have been' is probably the biggest draw to the first game, given that the final product wasn't the same thing that had captured peoples' imaginations with its initial reveal trailer.

It had big Red Steel energy to it in terms of presentation and how it utterly failed to live up to those expectations. Still...can't knock that iconic hat.

Really? This is what comes up when you enter "Aiden Pearce iconic" on Google. The coat is snazzy though ngl
That's because one of the pre-order incentives was a cap labelled as "Aiden pierce's iconic cap" in the marketing.

I think it was the cap + bandanna that was more recognisable than just the cap alone. Otherwise it would just be any generic character wearing an odd cap and coat combination.

Watch Dogs 1 is a lot better if you play it less as a hackerman and more of a punisher simulator
The default silent pistol + the Focus ability is effective 80% of the time.

For bigger enemies, use your gadgets and the shotgun.
