I was reading about Dr Sam Sheppard (the one who was tried twice for killing his pregnant wife) and how he ended up as a pro wrestler at 45, and he or his FIL supposedly invented this fingers in the mouth move, that was then adopted by police to restrain/drop resisting suspects.
Anyways, you could argue that based Limey was trying to restrain/drop Gunt rather than assault him, which in fact he did do, three times in short order.
Lisbon police would have recognized this procedure, and had a good chuckle as they handed Ralph his little typed up complaint.

Yes this is a goofy ass question, but it’s a good excuse to repost this glorious image and drop a ‘mandible claw’ reference at the same time.
