This could be explain the tension between her and her father, her love of military uniforms, her over the top aggression. She was very secretive, secluded herself and had an unusual medical regimen. It would also explain her persecution of the LGBT community, it was out of self hatred. She was a runner in WW1 and may have spent her whole life after that compensating for what she felt wasn't a "manly" enough role in the war.
