Anyone remember Warzone 2100 on PlayStation?

Well if you haven't it's a RTS from 1999. You find tech as you progress thru the storyline, exploring nuclear wastelands (I know kind of cliche for 90s games). Unlike it's contemporaries what made this stand out was the custom building of units.

Today I discovered that it's now freely available on PC, and someone has been working on it. The mechanics seem the same, but the graphics have been improved. I downloaded and installed it already and plan to dig in when I have some free time.

If anyone else is nostalgic or maybe never played it before here's the link:

That's cool, I remember that one. The whole modular approach to units was fun. Interesting that it went open source and still garners interest, the reception was rather mediocre back then.

The whole PlayStation interface was a bit janky. I moved on to Age of Empires myself but I've thought about this game a few times over the years. If only I had known there was a whole community around it.

Warzone 2100 was great. I think I last played it (loaded from my original CD-ROM) maybe 8 years ago. Definitely worth remastering.

It was one of those game I remember playing the demo of a bunch, but when I got to play the full version years later, I thought it was meh and never got far in it.
