You may be on some bizarre crusade to "let people know about Brianna", like publicity isn't what she feeds off of.

By the way, I found out that although Jason Lewis is probably not an Adderall addict, he definitely is taking money from big hospitals and big pharma. Thanks to those charming OCPF reports that Massachusetts does.
If y'all can somehow convince Brianna to run for lower office, there will be twice the scrutiny of her history and finances. You would think that bigger offices should mean more scrutiny, but in MA it's the opposite.

When you do this specific thing right here, try and remember to tag in @Jaimas , (he's nice, he won't bite) so that he can possibly review your game and get it off his worst games ever list potentially, because if he does, I'll play it. Right now I'm terrified it'll eat my system into a corrupt state that I don't have time to fix if I try it but if he graduates it off the list, I'll risk it too because his opinion is one that I respect enough to follow on this front.

It's not a very fun game yet but it won't eat your system. Might crash a fair bit but that's it. But yes, next release I'll tag him and thanks!

I'm actually interested in seeing what you do with it. It has a ton of potential and you've shown more promise with that silly little demo than many JPRATG titles do in their entire gameplay portfolio. With some better environment design, tutorialization, and so on, you have something laudable on your hands here.

I like retro turn based strategy games where you build forces numerous enough to crush your enemies totally so maybe I'll risk the eye rape on an already partially compromised machine that I can let totally die in the worst possible case, just to be safe.

Since you don't know the majesty of Sonichu yet Warren, :autism: is the usual rating someone hands out when there was an effort but it got derailed by the poster's inability to make it coherent to the topic at hand in the thread, or alternatively they don't want to negative rate someone out of politeness so it's a substitute for :dumb:. (It's also the most popular spoiler answer to any questions in a form of 'why is X happening in this thread' because we love our favorite in-jokes around here.)

Wow, I'm flattered! The latest update has had a focus on tutorialization and user friendliness. Maybe only got so far in that direction but trying.
Still struggling with making it not have a 40k feel, or feel like a 40k ripoff. Got a pretty complex background and society written for the world of Phanos, now figuring out how to put that in the actual game better.
Biggest annoying thing currently is I downloaded the latest update for GameMaker, and now it won't let me add new sound files, and some of the levels have these mysterious vertical black lines. Tried so many things, but I haven't been able to figure out what causes them. Whether the update or something I did just before the update, or... it's confusing.
I should have made the leap to Unreal engine ages ago. But that's a whole thing. Basically starting over. So yeah. Been paused on coding for a few days. But this is kinda flattering and I think I'll work on it some more after watching a bunch of CSPAN tonight.

Well it is retro. And turn based. And there's a lot of crushing. In the new version, you can also sell your enemies as slaves, put them in a gulag, chop them up and sell the body parts, or grind them up into "corpseburgers" and eat them.
Also in the new version, you can play as Brianna, and you can interact with/bribe/depose/kill Brianna in the diplomatic portion of the game. I might also add a "Tech Godzilla" type monster who goes around stomping on stuff. You can also similarly interact with/bribe/depose/kill sci fi allegories of Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard, Mitch McConnell, Elizabeth Warren and some other pols. I ought to put Trump and Cruz in there.
Also added more levels, items, monsters etc. If I can get the item interface working properly at least, I'll do another release. I wish I could figure out the dang black lines though...

One way to break from the sort of 40K feel is to flesh the universe fluff out, give characterful environments, and definitely remove the Imperial Cruiser in the title sequence. Refining the basic ruleset is going to take some time, but proper modifications to the armies and battlefield environments to make them more your own will work fine. 40K is lore-heavy, and if you make it clear using your own lore that the rules were your jumping-off point, a lot of cool ideas can emerge.

Well, we all process trauma differently, that's for sure! I'm only passingly familiar with the 40K strain of atsimu so I won't be able to see any assimilated sources lifted from there like some others will at first glance, but sending virtual John to the digital gulag, damn it, don't tempt me with a good time!

You know, people wouldn't have any problem at all with that, were it not for the fact that you already got into that business and promoted Wu. If you say how great a person is when you think they're great, then they turn out to be awful, so you don't say anything else, what you've done is make more people think they're great.

You really should at least tell the organizations/people you care about that you were wrong about Wu, if not for general principal, at least to show them your word isn't garbage. Or I guess you could just keep doing what you're doing, remaining steadfastly naive in the face of reality. I guess you get to keep the feeling that your doing some vague good somehow, and it's a lot less complex than reality when you have to judge a persons actions and not just take their word for things because you like what theyr'e saying.
