Warren, I appreciate you getting back on to the topic of focus for this forum. It's much nicer and more worthwhile than hearing about your imaginary judgements.
Yes please. Nobody wants to hear your 20 page rants about why you want me to be your waifu and conform to your thought process in every way, or else I am "evil". Guess what, I'm a fricken weahdo, ked. I ain't gonna make *all* the sense. It's more fun when it's about issues instead of about your feelings about being "friends" or whatever.

Also, do you believe that her "Team Rocket" tech podcast is just a podcast or the most important tech podcast?

:story::story::story::story:
I'm glad you got where I was going with that. That exact moment was the saddest she ever made me, I think.

By the way, I do like how you were thinking of the next generation as the future in your area in your story prior.
Thanks man. Or like, solvent. It means a lot. I feel like as long as you agree it's okay to have different opinions, I appreciate a lot of your insights.

It's a horrible shame that you had Wu here who only cares about vanity and wants twitter HQ there now, especially when she represents the district so she can get even more backchannel, albeit with much more illegal bribing.
Your ability to take horrible, misguided, and selfish ideas and figure out a way to work with those people to make actual good things happen is a stripe found in good politicians. Reasoning like that and your obvious dedication is why I think you should get involved with a real campaign and get ready to maybe run yourself if you choose to do so one day.
Awwww! I *hope* I'm like that! Thank you!
At first I thought it was a dumb ass idea to go get more tech jobs, but when I talked to people in the Hockamock Triangle area and Abington, that's what they actually super want more than most other issues. Especially if there's community training to go with it. It would be bad to have say Amazon on top of Boston or something. That would kinda suck in lots of ways. But a few tech companies in Whitman or Brockton could really help people's lives, and everybody I ran into was asking for that.
Whereas rich well-meaning DSA kids from Cambridge were like "Tech jobs? Get the F out of here with that neoliberal crap!" Which is a fine attitude for Cambridge to have. But with training, in rural areas I think it would help.

That's why I keep talking to you. You seem to want good things, but you project the good things you want so hard on anyone who wears the progressive labels. A die hard racist who actually did work would be better for the state than the nicest progressive who does nothing.
I don't know why you want me to go back in time and magically know things I know now, but six months ago. She talked a way better game than most of the actual sitting politicians.
Heck, it fooled the New York Times. What am I supposed to be, a mind reader? I've been mad at Stephen Lynch since 1996.

Would a phony Boston Irish dude be a weahboo?
As in, do I like anime? Meh. In my 20s I did.

This is nothing to do with you. I don't think you're a weeaboo, not do I think you're not real Boston Irish. It was just your rendition of the word "weirdo" got me thinking about a new word.

You're being a trifle paranoid here.

The New York Times is a joke and painfully failed to do their job. Even the most minimal look into Wu's public statements and activities over the past couple years reveals an obvious fraud. Just the sheer volume of absurd claims Wu continually makes about unearned qualifications, a career that doesn't exist, and incessant completely wrong statements about technology would suffice to show this.

People just don't want to do their homework. They see someone who agrees with them and turn off all suspicion.

Well, you and/or the new york times need to learn not to just take a person's word for it when they tell you who they are. There are reams of information out there about Wu, it was all out there 6 months ago too. Just because you're mad at Stephen Lynch doesn't mean you should get the first idiot you see elected. Wu's claims are so easy to check on, the lack of any accomplishment of any kind should tell you everything you needed to know.

I hope that's what you've learned through this. Not specifically that Wu isn't who you thought she was, but that NOBODY is who they say they are. You gotta check yourself, otherwise you're letting yourself be used as a tool. I don't care that when you promoted a pro-censorship candidate you had deluded yourself that somehow she was progressive, what I care about is that you promoted a pro-censorship candidate. That's part of your history now, and people should factor it in when they decide whether to trust you or a candidate you support in the future.

Well, no, but you should have taken a number of object lessons from this experience vis.

a) The devil can quote scripture, and
b) Your war for ideological purity does more harm than good.

Even if you ever did find your Berniecrat Jesus to run against and defeat Lynch, you'd quickly find they became indistinguishable from the politicians they replaced. See also Al Franken.

You're wasting your time and energy constantly besieging your own party for minor doctrinal differences. If you want to see real change, you need to be working towards a renewal of civic organisations that focused the will of people who don't have vast hordes of money like unions. If the only place the politician meets the people is every few years at the polling place, they're never going to care what they want in the years in between.

Ouch! #TYCED!!

Be careful talking to me like that. Do you know who I am?

As A Software Engineer, I've got Jace on speed dial. You best watch yourself. :jacewow:

:jaceknife:

Heck, it fooled the New York Times.

:jacewtf: No it didn't. They know all about Wu. You honestly think they know how to search up dirt about other talk guests but had a stroke before Wu came on? No way.

They were using her to push a narrative. And she thought it was all about her...

I'm glad you're starting to chill out some and at least make an effort to meet us half way, rather than demand we change to meet you. You're growing up! 10 gold stars for you! :winner::winner::winner::winner:

LOL, wow. Real agile standup meetings are rapid fire events that take about 15 minutes where everyone in the team talks about what work units they knocked off yesterday, what they're going to do today and what they plan for tomorrow. They're supposed to be short, hence everyone stands so they won't be tempted to waffle on ad nauseam.

Again, Wu just tries to sound like her fantasy software engineer self by appropriating the lingo without any of the understanding.

Only John would call something a standup meeting -- at which everyone literally stands -- when the only other participant is literally in bed.

Depends on the situation. I think a party needs to know that it ultimately answers to its members. It doesn't dictate what happens. We let them do that by forcing the nomination of the losing candidate Hillary Clinton and we now have Trump to thank them for. Ocasio-Cortez shows that even the hand-picked protege of an idiot like Nancy Pelosi can be unceremoniously dumped out of office and replaced.

Ordinarily, I'd worry about the impact of primarying an incumbent from the left, even a DINO. In this case, though, these losers have no apparent intention of even trying to win the midterms, and are just flailing around with the same losing bullshit.

So long as the DNC continues to embrace identity politics, refuses to acknowledge why they lost in the fucking first place, and keeps pushing shit like the alleged Russia conspiracy as if it were something to give a shit about, the left deserves to both lose and keep losing.

The left has to win back all the expat dems they chased out by going full nutter, and I don't see that happening this side of Trump's reelection.

I just would like to thank @W person cow for shining the light on Brianna's campaign. You are the best and worst thing that could happen to it. Shine on you crazy diamond.

You might want to take a few moments and think really deeply on that one regarding the NYT. You now have first person knowledge that something they reported was blatantly untrue. That it was easily proven untrue, and they ran with it anyway because it fit their narrative. You might want to start casting a more skeptical eye on everything else they are saying. WaPo too. Experiences like yours with the media is ultimately how many if not most of us ended up here. We knew they were bullshitting about something we had direct unquestionable knowledge of. Once you start to see through the fog, you start to realize how much of what they publish is this same level of Bullshit. Wu didn’t fool them. They’ve known exactly who and what a Wu is for years. Wu fustfir their narrative. They do this a lot. They do this for almost everything. When you hear the term “Red Pill” this is generally what it actually means. That moment it sinks in just how much the media deliberately lies to you, for their own purposes.

B: There's no need for you to be mansplaining at me right now.
W: I don't mean to mansplain.

@W person cow , did you ever hear of a person called Natalie O’Brien? Wu has claimed that she has been a long time staffer of hers yet no one has been able to prove she exists.
No but part of Kate's job was to sometimes help figure out when to release tweets and how to phrase them. So Natalie O'Brien, whose job description sounds similar, could have indeed existed. Kate did get paid to do that kind of thing. I have no idea about previous staff, and was not around in 2014 or whenever.

Ok next story is about the whole "Mystery of the East Bridgewater Democrats" situation. Thank you for renewed interest in it. I brought it up before but folks seemed more interested in calling me a hypocrite. I mean, I'm sure I am a hypocrite in some ways, but stories and AMAs are more interesting, don't you think?
...may take a while to type, so feel free to go through the standard fare about how I am never going to post it and am just being a tease :)
...also I have to go get chips...

Yo Warren, have the Wu Clan said anything to you about your posts in this thread?
They were "horrified that I would talk to GamerGate".
