I think all the transgender stuff in general hurts your case. Even if she is transgender, I think most people would agree that "out"ing a closeted gay or transgender person is pretty bad manners, and upon hearing such things, they will tend to be more sympathetic towards the outed person, rather than less.

I agree with you for the most part. The issue is that Brianna can hide parts of her past because it was done when they were still john. So sometimes you have to make the connetion to pre female brianna.

Just like her lying about being adopted, its hard to link her to her family because she can say "nope not me, thats some guy named john".

What about when the person tells childhood stories about how they were victims of sexism growing up as a "girl"? What about when the person used their name change to hide their past? The fact that people refuse to connect Brianna Wu with her birthname is part of why she has been able to lie about her past. She weaponized her sex change operation for PR purposes long before we ever heard of her or commented on her gender.

The transgender stuff doesn't hurt our argument since John is INCREDIBLY mysoginistic to other women, and even wrote a piece calling Monica Lewinsky a whore (seemingly forgetting it takes two to tango), he blathers on about women getting equal pay and treatment in the workplace...when his own studio had women agree to what was basically a slave contract and then he took all the credit for their work.

Wow man. So look, we’ve been goofing on you here a bit because that’s what we do but on a more serious note:

If you are worried or afraid about John’s retribution for just speaking the truth about your personal experience it really just supports what we are saying. What kind of person threatens someone for speaking their mind?

Also, there is not much he can do. You actually wield a lot more sway in local politics than he does, and all their money is tied up in that idiotic car so it’s not like he could level any kind of legal action against you. Finally, I’m not willing to put money on it, but if they came at you physically I think you could probably kick both of their asses. Lord knows John at like 7’9 tall has more reach, but most fights quickly turn into grappling so you will have the advantage there. Just go for his knees and, as gross as it sounds, get him on the ground. Frank’s low center of gravity gives him an edge but I think you could certainly out last him in. Stay strong!

I'm not afraid of being beaten up or sued. I'm nervous about posting anything that might partially validate the narrative here, if y'all are right about Brianna attacking people for even posting here.

And also I'm not the vindictive type (except maybe sometimes as a keyboard warrior) and I don't wish Brianna any ill will. Whatever y'all may think, it's pretty hard work running for office, and I have to give props to anybody who even gets this far. And even if it's lip service, I'd rather vote for somebody who gives lip service to progressiveness than somebody who doesn't even do that.

But I may step back from as much involvement in the campaign. Being heckled is funny and kinda flattering, but it's also exhausting and stressful. And if I'm doubting that Brianna might not be progressive, that makes my job of convincing people way harder.

And I get enough heckling by right wingers in Malden. Whether Brianna's progressive or not, she's kinda built her career on how she gets heckled, and kind of baits it sometimes maybe, and love her or hate her, she has a legendary number of hecklers. That might be too much for me. The majority of y'all might be just an ordinary level of mean like me (I'm probably kind of a mean guy), but saying that my girlfriend who loves cats dearly "kills cats"? Arguments that my telling a story about my friend Robby's mean hecklers was "asking for" that one pic?

Spoilers for those who dont watch the Pony Trouble viewing: I play a small acting role in my own movie as "Dave".
He's a shy, nerdy, kinda cowardly guy who buttons his shirts up to the very top button. And gets his head sawed off with a wood saw.

Finally, a character I can relate to! Sadly pirating difficulties against a time crunch have forced the screening to take place next week at the earliest. However the theme last night was musicals and included several above average quality for kiwifarms movie night features so it would have been kind of unfair to throw Warren's baby in with classics by Jim Henson and Mel Brooks for comparison sake, although his movie could have teamed up with Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD last night just fine, I imagine.

As for why John would hate you Warren, it's simple, he's a misanthrope obsessed with fame for himself while you're a principled bleeding heart trying to make the world a better place for everyone regardless of race, creed, color or religion. If you're not a means to his ends, you're fair game in John's eyes.

But personally I don't think John would hate you as much as just get bored with plaything interacting with you, where any attempt on your part to change the power dynamics in play would be reason for exile from the court of the Wu's empire of collected figurine dust.

Whatever you may think of her intentions or methods, Brianna is most definitely running for office, and I went through like about 14 different annoying red tape hoops to make sure she got on the ballot. She is certified by the state, and was welcomed at the Democratic State Convention with a special Candidate badge. Y'all have seen my candid of her cheering for Elizabeth Warren on the Convention floor. There were hundreds of other Democrats outside who were not allowed onto the floor because they had not proven their involvement by doing various processes. If you're me or most of the people, it was by getting elected delegate. For Brianna, it was by being certified by the state.
