If Warren was half the age he is now, his antics would be a little more lovable and hilarious. Being this deluded and removed from reality when you’re 40 is just sad.

I thought a large part of Lynch's platform was his relationship with the unions. Why do they pretend to like him?

It wasn't the last election. It was a primary in maybe 2006. Warren referenced it the other day actually: the district was reconfigured especially for Lynch after the last census (democratic governor was still in office, so all the sitting dems had a district gerrymandered just for them. Fun fact is that Capuano's district was actually gerrymandered for Ayana Pressley, who is now running against him in a primary. She wasn't deemed "ready" then, so they let Capuano run and win it. She's finally giving it a shot, but Capuano won't step down). It would be basically impossible for Lynch to lose this district the way it's configured.

Anyway yes the guy who primaried Lynch last time was a union guy, unions spent lots of money. The Globe probably supported him, but I don't remember. I'm sure he got lots of good press. I wasn't paying much attention to politics then. Lynch still won by about 3/4.

This would be something I would look forward to more except Brianna's campaign and life are basically untied to anything actually IN the district she lives and is running in (feel free to put quotation marks around that) so I'm not sure the 'reputation' matters. Wu spends almost all campaign time out of state or on twitter and gets donations almost exclusively from people who are not in the relevant district. They had to use a signature farming company to even get the low votes needed to be on the primary ballot. Wu often doesn't appear to even understand the job she's vying for.

If everyone in MA 8th local politics decided that Wu was a complete idiot and\or huckster I don't think it would change anything. Actually, I think that is probably the case. Except for Warren.

It's kinda funny that almost every other lol-cow we have here is an utterly lazy useless fuck, but you gotta admit that this guy is like a fucking shark that doesn't stop moving. An autistic, psychotic shark, to be sure, but a shark all the same.
