And I guess I'll remind people, but a Ragnar blackmane limited edition signed by Aaron is going up THIS Saturday at 1pm est(for the US store.) In December there will be a ravenor LE (I don't know if it's signed) and Astorath LE signed by Guy Haley.

For anyone wondering about the Space Marine Chapters that participated in the Badab Wars, the "Chapters of Renown" page might contain chapter tactics pertaining to them:

In fact, the following paragraph seems to indicate such:
We’ll be taking a closer look at the forces of Krieg later in the week, but it’s not just these stoic warriors that are featured in the book though, there are also datasheets for some of the Space Marines Chapters of Renown – Red Scorpions, Minotaurs, Blood Ravens, Astral Claws, and Carcharodons. This means that you’ll be able to field such legendary warriors as Carab Culln the Risen and Asterion Moloc in your games of Warhammer 40,000.

Also, @Love_Machine011 gets to have Custodes datasheets.

Not sure about rules, though.

The greatest librarian, and the greatest chapter master, are both blood angels. Coincidence? I think not.

All of their 8th rules were fine. The real changes I'd like to see is a buff to sagittrums and ventari. To give Custodes armies some much needed range and speed.

It'd be nice to get some chapter tactics for my Carcharodons detachment, but I'm not holding my breath. On the other hand, it is nice of them to finally be putting all this stuff in one compendium, though I assume that means they'll jack up the price accordingly. It's also a bit irritating that they have a datasheet for the Land Raider Achilles, but the model is gone from the FW store.

Can we talk about the Hounds of Morkai, A new unit for the space wolves, and how embarrassing and unoriginal they are gonna be? Like holy shit what was the point of this? a few new heads and a fur fag tail on now its a new unit? Really disappointing after the bladeguard. Like thank fuck the Sanguinary Guard on the cover of the BA codex looks like it had more put into it, or else I would be scared to death.

Krieg Regimental Doctrine:

Anytime they take a Combat Attrition test, they ignore all modifiers.

If a character or vehicle unit is destroyed, but the model did NOT explode, roll d6. On a 4+, after the attacking models' unit have completed their attacks, the destroyed unit may fire one Ranged weapon, or make one attack with its melee weapon (for models that possess multiple tracks, it is considered to have a wounds of 1). After resolving this attack, the destroyed unit is then removed.

My thoughts: Being able to ignore modifiers for Combat Attrition checks isn't bad. Being able to shoot once or strike back with a nominally 'dead' unit is pretty sweet.

Speaking as a Blood Raven player I don’t get why people want special rules. As it stands you can use ANY 1st founding legion rules or make your own and be still called Blood Ravens. This goes for any unknown successor chapters like Space Sharks or Minotaurs.

look at this Krieg fiasco for those few who actually fielded the army were the FW rules that good over just playing a regular IG regiment? Frankly while sending units to the legend hole sucks what stops you from

1. Playing old editions

2. playing them as imperial guard with create a regiment rules

You call them Hounds of Morkai, I call them "Games Workshop wants to desperately get rid of all the Reiver models no one ever bought". It's a shame both of the new boxes for DW and Space Furfags completely miss the appeal of both chapters.

TSKNF but for guard is kinda shit tbh

The idea of them is more appealing to new players then the start collecting boxes tbh. At least they are tailored to be a patrol force out of the box. There were several times where the go to before was "buy 2 start collecting boxes", I think these are a bit more reasonable. HOWEVER, if they are just gonna use this to offload 4 year old primaris models with a few upgrade sprews, then the incentive for established players to get them (AT LEAST FOR SPACE MARINES) will be diminished. Will probably be great no matter what for other factions tho.

I...actually like Reivers I use a squad for objective grabbing mostly. I noticed they have a very interesting objective based strat too.

I don't really have anything against them. But to advertise them as a new supa special snowflake SW unit, then it turns out they are just reivers with an upgrade sprue.... Frankly just fuck off. Doubly so after you have the bladeguard veterans now.

500 points off the bat is a great purchase for poorfags trying to get into the hobby and anyone kickstarting a new army, plus some of the old SC boxes are pretty bad no matter how you look at them. I agree that if every marine box is gonna be the most generic of primaris models then they're a real missed opportunity for GW to shill the really cool stuff from each chapter.

SW really should have gotten the assault intercessors.

Actually I wanna ask what do you guys think of the Phobos lines of primaris? I was out of the hobby for a while and I saw these marines and instantly fell in love with them. I always used more scouts then I needed so I was happy full fledged marines started doin more recon.

it’s a little sad since they seem to be shat on the most of the primaris line online.

I barely see them played. Which makes sense because I can only really see them fitting in with ravenguard and imperial fists. Literally have no idea how they are on the table.
