9th edition will be tough but with Isha's blessings and Vaul's resourcefulness we shall endure yet again.
Thoughts on the rumors of them bringing back squats rather then doing anything with eldar?

As someone who is smarter than I said, "the Ynnari was a cool experiment which lasted 3 months".
Most of the craftworlders and harlequin players I know also play drew-careys, we all seem to agree that GW doesn't give a shit and won't in the foreseeable future. This actually doesn't bother me as I got into the hobby primarily for painting and converting. There's a WAAC guy I know mourning the loss of flyer spam, but he's already loading up on wraithlords and fire prisms.

Overall eldar, as usual, represent grimdark in the realest sense: grim, as in GW would most likely squat the whole faction to make more primaris playsets, and dark, as in we'd rather buy 3rd party aspect warriors off some russian caster on facebook anyway.

The new Warhammer app? That you get digital copies of books if you buy IRL copies of the books?

It has a subscription fee.

Search is a paid feature. $5 a month. Also, If you like Battlescribe, it's about to be Arch'd by GW.

That's the case, yeah, though it appears there were vanguard organisms that made it to the galaxy as early as the 34th Millennium. But the idea goes that the Tyranids had either finished off some other galaxy and were just drifting through dark space in low-power mode to conserve energy until they detected the Pharos, or that they decided to risk dark space because something even bigger and nastier than they are was chasing them.
Going by the various Nids found on different worlds like the Catachan Devil and Fenrisian kraken several millennium before the Nids were identified at Tyran. Speculation is they may have tried nom noming the galaxy before when the pre-fall Elder, Orks and pre-Dark Age Humanity were at their most powerful rendering any Nid invasion as effective as a swarm of bees flying into a wood chipper. Devil and Kraken were some of the survivors.

A squid will send out feelers before actually going for the meal.

Tyranid waves have massive gaps between them because the norwhals have to travel the actual distance before they can do their strange space folding.

Every time a new hive fleet shows up, it will be bigger then the last. The hive mind has just been feeling it out. The devil and kraken were just apart of the tasting, never actually meant to eat the galaxy.

they always only review paint made for GW models, never big brand art supply or paints for other hobbies that need high quality paint.
same goes for tools and other supplies. idiots talk about how great their 18$ clipper is when you can get a waay superior wire cutter for 20$.

Or toe nail clippers for $1 at Dollar Tree

GW: Arch Warhammer is toxic and we will destroy the entire Youtube 40k Fandom just to fuck him over if we have to.

Also GW: Our Black Library author is too woke and thus we have to fire him.

Nice to see GW discovering why you don't hire these types in the first place. Once they're fired, they knife you in the back on the way out the door. And maybe the woke discovering that corporations don't REALLY give a shit about your stupidass social causes.

Dude was also not one of their top-tier authors, like Haley, Thorpe, Abnett, ADB, etc. He got published in Inferno through the 2018 Open Submission contest and has only written a few short stories for BL since then. Pretty easy to cut someone like that loose if they pull a Chuck Wendig and get into Twitter slapfights over dumb shit. Like, if someone was really getting death threats because they made a joke about gay Spess Mehreens, that sucks, but you absolutely don't need to wade in and escalate. That's just asking to get shitcanned.

So, my Twitter translation is he 100% leaked stuff, probably in response to being scolded for attacking the fanbase. He's out of writing for anything substantial, outside of Wizards of the coast, who will underpay him, for leaking. He's now hoping he can get a big patreon to write for his own Twitter Derangement.

In response to the Squats getting a return, while I do like them, I really hope they only do it if they have a two distinct flavor to them. As they are in the old fluff they are just kinda half guard, half mechanics, and a little bit of Astartes. Other than trains, they need something to really stand them out as another Imperial army.

I'd think the easiest method to return Squats would be as abhuman auxiliary units for the guard with a more vehicle and armor approach compared to the infantry of the Ogryns and ratling snipers. I wouldn't say no to some standalone space dorfs either though.

So what time do you guys think that the box is gonna go live on GW?
