Cypher waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were Alpha Legionnaires in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them, now for years. His warnings to Lion'El Jonson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Cypher was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad "I want to be on the ships, daddy."
Dad said "NO! YOU WILL BE KILL BY CHAOS MARINES!"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of the Rock he knew there were chaos marines.
"This is Jonson," the radio crackered. "You must fight Chaos!"
So Cypher gotted his palsma pistol and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US," said the chaos marines!
"I will shoot at him," said Omegon and he fired the rocket missiles. Cypher plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill Omegon," he shouted!
The Warp said "No, Cypher. You are Alpharius."
And then, Cypher was a plague marine.

Got a battlewagon for Christmas, finishing the year with just over 2k worth of Goff goodness.
Battlewagons are great fun on the table. Big ol thing that zooms up the middle and carries a shitload of greenskins. My favorite way to play it is barebones with a deffrolla so it has a legit melee threat while staying cheap, especially with the "Ramming Speed" strat. Stuff it full of your faves - either Boyz/Beast Snaggas for a hilarious disembark, Burnas for a "firetruck", Tankbustas to go monster hunting or just stick Ghaz(!) and Makari in there and drive it straight into your opponent's face.

Any opinion on lore youtuber Majorkill?

He's an Aussie shitposter who explains 40k lore like Encyclopedia Dramatica would. But sometimes he seems to be trying too hard to be funny within the confines of the Youtube police.

"G'day, guys and gal."

He's alright. He does seem to be a bit of a tryhard, but at least he's not taking himself too seriously.

He manages to keep videos short so is way more digestible then a lot of the other 40K lore content that exists.

Got a squad of mk6 marines and I have a idea for a conversion

I'm thinking of making them either dark angels or imperial fist with torses and plumes.

White Scars are un ironically the best Dark Angels box set we could have hoped for

Split the intercessor squad from the Ultramarines box and you have a whole patrol detachment. Not only that you get two excellent named characters

When you consider what the trailer looks like next to hammer and bolter or angels of death this is a marked improvement.

Very late, but I finally listened to the first AoS Gotrek novel (after learning it's specifically an audio production rather than an audiobook).
I liked it, Gotrek is pretty awesome, all the actors are hamming it up and you feel they enjoy the performance, and even stuff like Zulu-esque faction works well without slipping into current year traps. The things I didn't like is the weird ass names for everything and how it's hard to make out what's being said in some of the more hectic scenes.

Besides that, Gotrek pretty much talks in that 4 hours more than he did the entire Old World series, and him praising Felix as hero among heroes is extremely heartwarming after seeing the event of the previous books from Felix's perspective, where he doubts Gotrek cares so much about him.

I wonder if it's worth it to get back to the old series, after I leaved it when the quality dropped in Shamanslayer and Zombieslayer, or continue to the AoS material.

Looks good.

I have noticed they're pushing women hard as of late. Darktide for example, most of the prominent characters are women. Not complaining, just pointing out.
I see it too, but it's the Sisters of Battle, and I genuinely like their lore. Their units are pretty cool considering that almost every special unit in their armies are a form of punishment for sisters that have sinned in the past. I am a little put off by how lippy the guardwoman is being though. I'm not a lore expert but it seems uncharacteristic of a sister to allow herself to be berated for her faith by anyone short of the Custodes or the Emperor himself. It smells like heresy to me.
