Found a brick-and-mortar store near me that sells minis.

My sense of financial responsibility is in danger.

Good thing they're still pillaged from Christmas and don't have anything I want in stock right now.

I'm getting a few additions here and there, but I'm mainly concerned with the pile of shame I've accumulated.
Me too, that's why I got a vasectomy. Oh! You mean miniatures. My piles of various miniature boxes used to be pretty bad until my wife took an interest in the hobby.

I found out we may have a new gaming store in town, and my wife is 3700km away.

I don't care if GWS is trying to phase them out and replace them with Primaris equivalents, terminators are still cool and I refuse to stop painting them.

Who, the followers of Slannesh or Dark Eldar, would even remotely likely to think and/or say to the other group that they are going too far?

I just got into the hobby. I'm ridiculously impressed with everyone's posting skills!

I'm learning to paint, but I'm printing out terrain left and right.

Glad to see there's a thread here.

They're works in progress, but I painted for the first time yesterday, and they turned out much better than I had anticipated!

Deldar because they have the arrogance. Slanneshi whores don't say "That's too much", they ask if they can get in on it. Who am I kidding? They wouldn't ask.

Maybe check out speed painting. It mostly just involves some basic base coat colors and a dip/wash. It's fast an easy, and often yields more impressive results than a brand new painter would normally get. It also cuts down on paint costs since you only need a few colors and a wash, as opposed to 3 different shades of every color.

Don't forget to THIN YOUR PAINTS
I was. Had someone there giving me a walk-through.

Both of them have diluted base layers of green. The only parts I painted undiluted are their weapons, which I intend on detailing later.

If I went outside the lines with the marines' gold trim, I would either chisel it back or dry-brush it out to get it to blend with the green.

I think the Orks are gonna be more complicated.

Thinking about getting back in 40k. Found a fuckton of 3D print files to get by and just made an Interrogator Chaplain the other day (debating on posting a picture when I get home, or to paint it first). Don't want to pay GW's retarded prices even for the books, so I'll look at ebay.

Anything I should know getting back into it regarding the actual gameplay? Looks like I missed a lot these past couple of years.

Horus heresy is probably better for an old fag.
40k at this point is just invuln spam and ap spam.

What faction do you plan on playing? I'll send you a private message with their .stl file telegram channel.

Welcome to the hobby. Say goodbye to your wallet, sanity, and love life.

Slapchops are getting nicer results.

The hardest part is sitting down to paint, so congrats! Duncan Rhodes was mentioned earlier, but another youtube channel worth checking out is The Painting Coach, who does what I feel are pretty good tutorials that range from tabletop to near-parade standard and does a good job of showing the basics.
