How much of a fucking faggot loser do you have to be to sacrifice your sleep to moderate chat for free? Jesus fucking christ. Yeah, that's more than likely why they were chosen. Specifically because they had no lives. Problem was all they wanted to do was police others and not make a good community.

I actually have an archive link on Telluric alone where she has close to five thousand hours of gameplay logged in WF. Many of the WF chatmods idle in relays for days at a time, and there's been a persistent rumor that at least one was running scripts to answer common questions without any input and to prevent them from being kicked for idling.

That is over six and a half months of real time, logged into Warframe, 24/7, with no bathroom breaks or logoffs.

Jesus christ. That's fucking shocking. Truly unbelievable. Shit is unacceptable. Games need to let chat be chat and let shitposting happen and only intervene with harrasment and scamming.

Troons are like the neocons of gaming. Most people hate them but you can't escape their clutches because of institutional power.
@Apoth42 add City of Heroes and briefly Guild Wars 2 to that list. Its depressing for sure.

Wait what did trannies do to those games?

Wait what did trannies do to those games?

Some highlights, TL;DR Edition:

Some girl on on the Planetside 2 forums posted an image of a skirt she was looking at. Most comments were inoccuous, though there was a few joke comments about how rare it was to see an actual girl playing Planetside 2. Not too long after, there was jokes that began to come in along the lines of " there no girls on the internet." Some of PS2's users got extraordinarily butthurt and claimed such comments were sexist. Seeing a weak spot, trolls began quoting Dark Souls ("Amazing Trap Ahead"), and making jokes that there was a penis under that skirt, and that the OP's hands were too big and she was obviously a tranny. At this point Mods lost their shit and banned hundreds of people.

In response to this, one user decided to go against the mods and point out the obvious, which is that it was just shitposting and Dark Souls memes. The mod responded by demanding he write a public apology - in the form of a 500-word essay with at least five cited sources on trans people, transphobia, the impact it has on trans people, etc and saying that making fun of trans people is part of the reason why suicide rates are so high for them. The user faced with this demand, an absolute lad, responded by stating that it was pretty obvious that the OP was female and didn't give a shit, but if it mattered so much he could send the mod several gigs of shemale porn. The mod was displeased and declares that he'll have to submit his essay before being unbanned.

Appropriately, the user points out that the moderator needs serious psychological help. Impervious to reason, the moderator responds with like 6 pages of trans suicide statistics. Realizing that he's dealing with an absolute unit, the user decides to try the logical approach and tell the mod to stop being a fucking moralist and that it's not the fault of shitposting that people are dying, pointing out further that there's no standing rule against trap jokes, and that the mod obviously overstepped. The mod responds by claiming there's no need for a rule to show basic human empathy. At this point the user laughs his ass off, and posts the entire shebang on KIA, showing that KotakuInAction does have its moments of being a source of comic gold for us for all the right reasons on occasion.

Archage's head mod stateside, Celestrata, was a hilariously abusive tranny with a continual chip on her shoulder that used absolutely every single chance she has to browbeat people because she is trans and they are not. Notoriously unstable and fucking hated by the entire community, she was amazingly unprofessional and tended to ban anyone who dared question her about anything, even completely legitimate community concerns. Imagine if you will a community manager that not only never addresses community concerns, but actively is a massive dick towards anyone who brings them up and you have a general grasp of why Celestrata was hated so much. And, as Celestrata was a troon, she was hilariously easy to offend.

She was fired earlier this year by Trion and will not be missed.[

As a side note, she's almost certainly capable of supporting a thread on her own.

On June 5th 2017, the current batch of brain trusts running Runescape designed and launched a LGBT pride event that violated one of the core rules of events with the community: That all new content proposed for the community was put before the community to vote upon before being enacted. Strawpolls were conducted, that subsequently showed that the event was, to put it simply, not particularly wanted:

Nope vote.png

The mods then proceeded to ignore the community's desires and run the event anyway, and it was patently clear that the mods were going to enact their own agenda here. So the community manned the barricades and protested, aided by shit-stirrers from almost a half a dozen other communities. /pol/ readily helped out, as did other runescape communities, /v/, and more.

aa0.png

What happened was basically a bunch of dudes dressing in desert robes ferociously meme-ing at people and making jokes about securing a future for the players of Runescape. The mods responded by banning huge swaths of their own community en masse and calling them all racists and bigots. The Runescape fags simply moved on.

Minorities Indeed.jpg

Creative Assembly decided to cater to the woke community earlier last year by changing the rates female generals would spawn in Rome II - from around 1% or so to about 50-60%. At first, this seemed to be simply a bug, so how did it escalate into a full-fledged shitstorm? Well, that requires knowing what was going on at the time: Prior to this, Rome II had already seen a fucking arsenal of female-specific DLC updates (that weren't exactly fitting with historical accuracy), including spearwomen and female Spartan slave-warriors. Unlike those, however, which you could ignore by not getting the DLC involved, the female general spawn rate change was part of an update and could not be adjusted. Unfortunately, when people asked on the community forums what the fuck was going on, a Creative Assembly staffer, Ella, started shrieking immediately about how feminism was here to stay you guys, and going on to state:

Ella said:
Total War games are historically authentic, not historically accurate - if having female units upsets you that much you can either mod them out or just not play.

The thing is, Ella isn't just a staffer; Ella is an insane feminist who constantly writes articles about promoting feminism under pen-names, and while she's not necessarily influencing things at CA, this is not the kind of shit you want to see for a niche game genre. Ultimately Ella was shifted off and the patch rolled back, when the proper general spawn rates were put back in place, giving a surprisingly gentle end for this particular minor shitstorm.

Worth noting, only like half of those are troon drama.

Do you have the story on Company of Heroes, Fallout and Gmod, too?

That's the thing, these ones were way more nebulous and with way less information about them. The Fallout one I still don't know beyond Fallout 4 being riskless trash and having tranny Assaultrons that troons took serious offense to. The other two I have some info on at least:

Garry's Mod has typically been an open community, more so than most, since the game itself is functionally a giant sandbox for players to fuck around in. You would think, that since any idiot can create a server for it, and the bulk of the game's userbase consists of 8-to-16-year-olds farting around in a controlled environment periodically backed with older people using it for testing, design work, or animation, that it would be mostly immune to the ravages of the outside world, but Autism being what it is, Garry's Mod has seen an increasing infestation. A lot of Facepunch Studios' staff are pretty hard-left, and while they're far from the worst community about it, a general synopsis of their forums is "trying to be SA." While much of facepunch's staff are pretty infamously bad, there are few more well-known than Maxofs2D, who is/was a raging SJW and we have a thread on, and who constantly spammed DMCA requests and was sort of a far-left Mikemikev analogue according to the ED crowd.

But the biggest issue comes from none other than than Garry Newman himself. See, back in April of 2016, Garry Newman made it so that race and gender were randomized on character generation for Rust, rather than giving players the ability to customize, which is what most wanted. You now have no choice whatsoever about who or what your avatar is, and Newman sung to the heavens from a column in The Guardian about how this totally wasn't done for identity politics reasons before basically undermining that in his own article:

Garry said:
It’s maybe understandable why some male gamers wouldn’t want to play as women. They’re just not used to being forced to. You could probably count on your fingers the number of major, big-budget games where you have no choice but to play as a woman, never mind having no choice but to play as a black woman. Female gamers are obviously more forgiving – they’ve been playing games as men for most of their lives.

Worth noting, in the same article, he claimed it would have taken "six months" to put in the ability to select your race and sex, something that not even the most tech-illiterate moron believed. Of course, Garry is also the same prick who was pretty openly in favor of the nexus mods system because of the potential money it would bring in, so make of that what you will.

Finally, one that pre-dates the Autism Holy War, and one that has almost nothing to do with identity politics at first. This one dates back to 2013! At the time, Russian gamers got fucking pissed because COH2 basically portrayed the Russian military in it as being akin to Colonel Chenkov from Warhammer 40K - and while there's no question that the fighting Russia was involved in was some of the most brutal in the entire war. This wasn't an issue for the sort of politics we have now, until Waypoint decided to make it one.

What I think the previous poster was referring to, however, was something different entirely: That Relic did the same shit Creative Assembly did, and make the spawn rate randomizers for certain units abnormally high (Snipers being almost 50% female, Rear Echelon units being like 50% black). There wasn't any actual outrage over this, it just kind of happened and people rolled their eyes at it.

Oh Jesus Christ I remember part of the Rust drama, just the stuff about random character generation being tied to your steam ID or something. He really tried to say "guys don't want to play as women"? What about all those men playing blood elf women in WoW, or any MMO having tons of men disguised as female characters?

I don't know about the rear echelon, but the snipers being almost 50% female makes some sense in the russian army. Unlike other armies, the ruskies believed in their gender equality, and that meant women fighting on the front line. German soldiers were quite put off by this as they had never had to really engage women in the battlefield. Women not only made up snipers, but they flew planes as well. In fact, a particularly terrifying group of female pilots would climb to high altitudes, cut their engines, then dive toward the germans silently before dropping their payload, causing the germans to shit themselves regularly.

So yeah, anyone who looked more than five minutes at the ost front would be fine with this.

Haha, no. Soviets only allowed female soldiers after they got the shit kicked out of them during Operation Barbarossa, because they really needed the personnel*, and even then only about 3% of the Soviet Army was female.

*Same reason as the Israelis.

The 588th Regiment was terrifying because they used obsolete crop dusters that had lower max speed than the krauts stall speed

I've been following this shit for a while now and this thread sparked me to check the front page of the sub reddit again and sure enough there's a thread about people being banned for typing "ram ranch" in region chat.

The real kicker in all of this crap is during dev streams (where all the department heads show up coming features for the game) they make jokes about ram ranch meaning they clearly see no problem with it and it's only the triggered lunatics they use as mods that do.

I didn't say they made up a significant portion of the army. Hell, I'm not even sure they made up 3% given their initial recruitment was around 2k which is laughable when compared to the total size of the Russian army. I'm saying the 50% sniper spawn rate makes sense given the overall makeup of the army you'll get in an average skirmish of CoH. It's enough for a player to see and go "oh, there was a woman or two in the Russian army at some point." I personally would have set it closer to 10 or 25%, but I don't own relic.

Main point is, there's always gonna be some sperg who sees a woman in a war game and go "Wtf, what is that doing here?!" and for the most part, they'll be correct, unless the army happens to be Russian. (or as you stated, the Israelis.)
That means battlefield 5 is still fucking retarded for its horseshit. It wouldn't be so bad for bf5 if they made up their mind about whether they want to be the dumb fun war game where people knife each other constantly and ride on the wings of planes, or the serious retelling of the horrors of war.

Oh, and I just found this on the warframe subreddit.

I think two of the most iconic incidents in the mod shitstorm both involved Telluric.

The first one happened during a segment where Telluric started banning people over saying "Nice" in response to people mentioning Fortuna 69. During a developer event, several devs made the joke with Telluric present and all she could do was fume impotently about it as they pointed out it wasn't a ban-worthy trespass.

The incident that hallmarks Telluric's career as a moderator, however, and the one which may very well have started her removal, was this one: an incident involving Maroo's Bazaar. Basically it was found that Eidolon Shards could be redeemed for 25,000 Endo (the currency used for boosting mods). This is an incredibly lucrative thing because the best mods require fucking gigantic amounts of Endo to max out. The problem: this triggered the internal anti-cheat programs and would get you automatically banned if you did it.

BANNED.png

Naturally, when people started getting banned, the community started to warn other people about not doing this.
It's then that Telluric decided to be a bigger asshole than seen previously:

Telluric Lying 1.png

The thing is, this isn't the first time we've seen this shit. People have gotten screwed by this happening before. One of my friends, without getting into too many details, was banned from the game for over a month because his bank wouldn't clear a purchase because of how DE's site processed payments, and the game's anti-cheat protocols thought he was scamming, so he wound up with negative platinum. Numerous other cases of accidental bans have happened throughout the history of Warframe. It happens in every online game, it's the growing pains of a community that's slowly growing, sooner or later some users are going to fuck up and crash headlong into the game code in hilarious ways and this was just one of them.

The problem arises when you realize that Telluric kicked people from chat for discussing the issue.

Finally, after about three minutes of the chat pointing out: Yes, this was happening and being reported on in multiple communities, Telluric chimed in with this old Social Justice classic:

Telluric Lying 2.png

Not content with being this much of a prick, people called Telluric out for not only giving openly bad information that may have gotten additional people banned, but was actively thwarting attempts to stop people from accidentally doing this shit.

Telluric Lying 3.png

Telluric Lying 4.png

That would pretty much be the tipping point.

Didn't think them cowboys would send the mods into a blind rage. Clearly they have no transient fortitude to compensate for their overextended reach of growing power.

Fuck MR 22 & 25, in particular.
23 is gonna suck balls but only because I'm bad at micromanaging objectives while killing. 22 was just Rathuum for masochists and I am a high powered 100% status damage slinging shitlord. Corrosion + blast + radiation = niggas getting melted , knocked over, and slapfighting with each other.

I keep getting popped out of the void by Manics. At least it's not like ARK, where the devs have apparently decided that adding the most outrageous shit that intentionally fucks up any meta, no matter how briefly it exists, is more important that making with scalability that players might enjoy.
