Sooo, anyone have any decent recs for VR games/freebie or cheapo 'experiences'?

Beat Saber is fun (with mods - only with mods!)
Richie's Plank Experience is fun, if limited (flying is cool, as is preperation for your untimely suicide/attempting to empathise with 9/11 jumpers...)
Tilt Brush is ok, but google.

Got a few games downloading/pending download but looking for suggestions. I'm looking at different animation/art applications but anything goes!

VTChat is cancer but it's the kinda cancer you can enjoy alone exploring worlds or enjoying the company of friends through 'invite only' worlds/instances.

All in all, VR is pretty gay but fun.

Pavlov VR is amazing - basically counterstrike but in VR (some dude even moved over a lot of the cs:go maps to it as well). It's the most popular multiplayer VR game last i checked.

The Talos Principle is one of my favourite ever games, it has a VR version I've heard is good, it's not a purpose-built VR game, it's just a first person puzzle game but if you've never played it at all and you have a VR setup why the fuck not

I got terrible motion sickness with VR, I played for a couple of hours and spent the rest of the day throwing up. Really bummed about it because it looks amazing. Moss was one of the easier titles for me to play and I really enjoyed it, it has a pretty good rating as well. I think it's only $29 on Steam but it's a bit cutesie.

Rec Room, more specifically the paintball minigame. Free game and the one game I found I could spend the most time in.

A rando cheap chinese game called Bomb U! was also very fun. Simple but enjoyable.

Racket NX demo was a blast. Dont know about the full version though.

Got one of them vr PS4 things. Wish the screen was a higher resolution but man, I can see the potential for this stuff.

Zone of the Enders is pretty dope. The sense of scale is pretty good and I like the fact you can look all over the cock pit. Feels like you really are in a mecha anime.

Ace Combat 7 only has three VR missions but damn they are awesome. The start of the second mission got my heart racing. Wish I had the flight sticks for this.

RE7's graininess actually helps it and even knowing the scares didn't stop me from being a bitch again playing it. Can't imagine the heart attacks I'd get from REmake 2 if that had VR.

EDIT
I forgot but my favorite game so far is that Sega ages collection. While not the best way to play, you can play it inside a virtual bedroom with a crt monitor. Can even physically walk around if you got the space, which kind of gave me an uncanny valley feeling after awhile. Gave me mad nostalgia.

I've had VR for a year now, lemme tell ya what I've got

Pavlov: Great game, although its a bit annoying sometimes. The netcode isn't too great, sometimes resulting in you and another player killing each other or getting shot after running into cover, and the recoil system is just kinda retarded. Other games do it better.

Beat Saber with mods, like what was said in the OP, is a good bit of fun. Almost any song you want has been made.

Hotdogs, Horseshoes, and Hand Grenades: fun game, basically a dicking around with guns simulator. The functionality of most guns is pretty on point, down to ammo types, internal hammers, and all sorts of bells and whistles that make shooting things a hell of a lot more fun. However the dev is a two faced cunt, who I may actually make a thread on in the future.

Gorn: Gladiator + TF2 graphics + ludicrous gore = a hell of a lot of fun.

Blade and Sorcery: Exactly as the name implies. While gorn is a more comedic, arcadey fighting game, B&S is a more "realistic" game. It's still in development, and I'd say to keep this on your radar in terms of things to buy, but hold off for now.

Jet Island: Massively underrated game, it's an open world sort of game where you fly around on a hoverboard through a floating island in space littered with bits of geometry that you can do tricks off of. The objective is to kill a giant flying tapeworm terrorizing the island by killing other smaller insects powering it.

Arizonia Sunshine: Relatively short shooter game where you're surviving a zombie apocalypse. Fun, but the gunplay is really not too great, especially with two handed guns.

Kingspray Graffiti: Graffiti stuff in VR. not much more than that.

To the Top: Not exactly mirrors edge in VR, but relatively close. You jump from blue colored object to blue colored object through a course, either trying to get the best time or getting collectibles.

EDIT: also get turn signal, it's good for telling how twisted in your wires you are.

Yes but it depends on what games because there are some that will make you want to barf all over the floor

One of my favorites is Gorn, a gladiatorial fighting game where you slaughter hordes of enemies with various weapons.
Good way to wind down after a stressful day, one hour of gameplay equals to a hell of a workout.

A large room is recommended, you don't want to accidentally demolish your house

It's been 4 years and there's still nothing like jet Island out there. Really disappointing, but it makes it timeless.

If you're into puzzle boxes/games The Room VR is good.
