Voice Actors - Complain about American/Canadian ones, Gush about Japanese ones, I guess

Either way american VA are not good enough to afford creating this much drama all at once.

her IMDB page shows she used lots of different fake names,especially in her early days(and including her hentai roles,of course...).
She still does tons of non-union works but rarely uses a fake name these days and don't even deny them,so whatever trouble she could get with the union,she can avoid them somehow(Sailor Moon is a non-union work and she loves to boast about it.)
 
So was on vacation in glorious nihon.

I know voice acting is considered a respectable all over the world outside of Murica, but it really hits home when you hear their dubs of our shows and movies.

For instance, I found Spongebob on TV and the effort to replicate the original english cast was respectable, right down to the theme song.

Terminator 2 in Japanese, once I got used to rather fast, never took me out of the film where english dubs of foreign films are abysmal.

Then we come back and hear our dubs and it feels almost insulting.

I remember seeing the initial Kingdom Hearts III story trailers that were still voiced in Japanese and the guy they got to voice Hades sounded exactly like James Woods which was so eerie.

To be fair, no one took a serious look into that wretched tumblr thread or the rumors to see if they checked out.

To get back on topic,
Reuben Langdon and Johnny Young Bosch remain two guys who haven't turned into utter shit heads because of Weeb Wars.
For that, I'm happy to remain fans of their works.

Kirby Morrow, Jennifer Hale, Shelley Calene-Black, Tiffany Grant, Alison Keith, Keith David, Rob Paulson, Tress MacNellie, Kevin Conroy, Susan Eisenberg, Phil Lamarr, Melendy Britt & Alan Oppenheimer, Eric Stuart, Rachel Lillis, Mike Pollock, April Stewart, Grey Griffin, etc. Pour one out for all them bitches

Kevin Conroy is awesome (I got to see him at a panel a few years ago).
Jennifer Hale has a bit of TDS, but not like Steve Blum. Blum has it BAD!

Well what do you expect from someone with same voice syndrome who has reverse david beckham syndrome who cheated and hooked up with MEMcGlynn (I heard a rumor that she is apparently very nasty at cons. Very snippy and rude to fans. Anyone verify this?)

His Wolverine is definitely his best role aside from Spike

Kevin seems like a gentle soul. A guy who's voice literally gets men hard and women wet regardless of what way you swing
 
Oh! Another awesome voice actor is Jim Cummings!
I was fortunate to attend his Q&A at the same convention that Kevin Conroy was at.
He talked about his career, how he started from narrating rides at Disney and leading into roles such as Winnie the Pooh and Darkwing Duck.
He also talked about his children. I could tell by the way he spoke about them, he cared about them greatly.
Given what's happened to him recently, I'm happy that he is able to be part of their lives.
