Voice Actors - Complain about American/Canadian ones, Gush about Japanese ones, I guess

Honestly the moment any Western VA does anime dubs, they really have no right to even talk about “appropriate casting” when all of them might as well not have a career given they voice Japanese people for a living.
“Appropriately cast a Latino”

In the world of voice acting, why are you “appropriately” casting anybody? Voice acting is basically the Wild West.

You’re not casting Japanese-Americans to voice for English-dubbed anime characters, are you?
Thats the main issue I have with the VA industry. Why does it fucking matter if the person behind the voice is not the same race as the character? It'd be different if they were saying racist shit or something, then I'd sorta understand, but there's no point in caring. I really hate how this argument also fucking has double standards and how Phil Lamar back tracked shit he said years ago and now sides with this retarded mindset of "you have to be -insert race- to voice this character-". Especially when they replace these characters with worse VAs (Ex: Cleveland brown being voiced by a guy who does an awful impression of him).
II would love to go to a comic con and meet her one day. I was never sure in the past if I ever went to a comic con who would be a celeb I would want to meet. But recently I think she would be a likely contender.
I would love to be her 4th divorced husband if ya catch my drift

Guess Steve was the perfect guy to voice Starscream; being a whiny little bitch and all.
And that version of Starscream was notable for having "high-heeled" feet. Perfect for the Yaoi fangirls.

The closest thing Transformers got to a "femboybot"... This is a compliment btw, he's one of the best versions of Starscream.

Also yes, this Starscream, along with Knock Out (3rd coolest Decepticon side-character of all time after Barricade & Nitro Zeus), was actually the most popular ship alongside Optimus Prime & Megatron.

Exactly. Funny how perfect those two are together
Starscream: "You're going down, tubby!"

Bulkhead: "...t-t-tubby? GRRRRR! NOBODY CALLS ME TUBBY!"

Actually in this situation, Bulkhead would respond to Starscream with this once he gets called a tubby:

You know speaking of Starscream. It's actually sad when you read about the original voice actor Chris Latta. If he is as still alive today I bet he would have been one of the legendary voice actors still working today I bet.
I looked up his Wikipedia, and I've forgotten the fact that he also voiced Moe, Mr. Burns and Smithers in the Simpsons throughout the production order of Season 1 before Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer, respectively, took over from Season 2 onward. Oh, and he was also the Klingon Captain Kargan in Star Trek TNG.

I forgot he was those roles too

I still think John DiMaggio, the voice behind Dr. Drakken, Shnitzel, Jake the Dog, the Samurai Jack Scotsman and Bender (as well as the equally as great @Flexo ), is a great voice actor. He's still a very toxic person on social media as with most other VAs being a typical SJW he is, but at least he keeps separating his art away from his left-wing political identity. Plus, he was a very underrated Joker.

I'm entirely convince Rob Poulson is aware that he has conservative fans (which makes since when you consider one of his voice actor friends who he has worked for decades is a conservative). Hence why despite being a liberal leaning guy he isn't a sperg like so many other VAs and instead talks about his his roles something that brings all his fans together.
That just my personal pet theory.

I always appreciated his work as Marcus Fenix in the Gears of War trilogy. He's a talented dude, but he needs to learn to keep the sperging to a minimum.

I'm not a fan of Gears of War honestly, but yes, I really love his performance as Marcus Fenix

Speaking of which, John DiMaggio is supporting the WGA writers strike (especially a year after the behind the scenes situation with the upcoming Futurama reboot). And I feel like crossposting this onto Family Guy American Dad threads respectively, but Rachael MacFarlane is also supporting the WGA writers strike, with the production of two shows being put on hiatus.
