I occasionally peek at fatpeoplehate when I’m bored because funny or morbidly interesting stuff pops up there. But in addition to all the tedious posturing about how they can’t go outside because a fat person might have stepped on the same sidewalk at some point, they have to soak everything in their lame catchphrases/slang. They can’t go three goddamn sentences without “cup of beetus” “condishuns” “muh soggy knees” etc. and it’s so cringey.

Im banned from various subvoats, FPH being one of them, just because I point out the obvious truth, like calling on some bullshit.
The vitriol and hate that I see on Voat threads points to the fact that the userbase is barely functional irl, they must smash things like autistic apes if they see a fattie or a liberal on the streets

I got banned for the reason: Reeeee

These are people so non-functional they can't even be plebbitors. Contemplate that fact.

Voat: Reddit if you're too autistic for Reddit.

Can't wait to see if a The_Donald analogue pops up.

T_D was run out of Voat when they threw their temper tantrum on reddit over ethics in imaginary internet points or something, because Voat considered them to be autistic faggots who are against free speech and not racist enough for Voat.

I got banned from fph for expressing sympathy for an obese elementary school-aged child, whose fatness wasn't their doing and wasn't within their control.

The best stories over there, imo, were ones by physicians, health care workers, EMTs/first responders, morticians, and other people with firsthand, on-the-job experience dealing with people who destroyed their own bodies through chronic obesity. Those were actually interesting.

Same. They occasionally post some funny stuff and their horror stories about the super morbidly obese are entertaining to read, but the commenters are annoying as shit. It's like r/fatlogic but with more pretentiousness and autism.
lol fatlogic and fatpeoplestories on reddit has been nothing but troll shielding mini moons very gently poking fun of people fatter than they are. Those subs were completely neutered over a year ago.

ETA:
lol they're just average looking/uggos who aren't obese
Not really. FPH on reddit had two private forums for verified shitlords where people selfie whored and it was all fitizens, mostly female, and honestly an average of 8.

One of the admins is cowish, leeleelemon/lemonlifts only in that she tried to make herself into a meme for atheism.

ETA 2: skinny fats and anorexics were also shamed in that community.

ETA 3: @multiverse of possible interest to you.

I used to read the flat out horrifying ones where something happened like a fetus died inside some whale and rotted in there for months and the whale didn't even know until it turned septic.

This is the issue of any splinter that breaks off an otherwise neutral site that starts becoming too sensitive. Twitter into Gab, Reddit into Voat, 4chan into 8chan. The resulting site that manifests is too extremist and exclusionary, and it prevents any sort of new "normal" from taking place.

There are really, really good reasons to not like the way that Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and 4chan are ran. 4chan especially is an ""anonymous"" website that is constructed so that you must either post from a domestic IP connection (no VPN, no Tor), or you must buy a pass with personally identifiable CCN info that links all your posts together.

But how do you correct that? If you try to take the people from /r/FatPeopleHate and /r/CoonTown and make a new reddit, you get a reddit entirely about hating people. If you take GamerGate and White Nationalism from 4chan and make a new 4chan, you get 8chan, and a version of /v/ and /pol/ where ONLY certain things are tolerated. You get banned from 8/pol/ for not being a white nationalist. If you take the people getting banned from Twitter (and there are a lot of them), you get Gab, which is essentially a circlejerk for Trump supporters with no long term prospects.

That's the most concrete explanation of this. When I first joined Voat, I hoped it would be a fun place for people to come together and discuss things, like Reddit. However, it quickly devolved into conspiracy nuts hating everyone they disagreed with. I tried to show them that disagreeing with someone doesn't give you the right to hate them. I was called a shill. No one would listen.

The problem with Voat is they failed to realize that unless the captured the stronger foundation of reddit, namely the ability and willingness to set up communities for every little niche of individual games, hobbies, sports teams, cities, etc and just focused on people upset on decisions made by the cesspools that is the larger, million autistic user subreddits, they would just turn into a more butthurt version of reddit.

And thats exactly what happened.

Yeah, they seem so hyper-focused on politics and gargling Trump's balls. Say what you will about some of the decisions Reddit has made-and believe me, there is a lot to be said- at least Reddit does allow for discussion of things other than politics, which seem to dominate Voat.

Yep. Reddits strength is that if you wish, you can avoid all the cancer drama infested areas and stay in your bubble of shit you actually care about. Impossible on voat.

You can pay for a 4chan pass with Bitcoin. Not that I'd support the site as currently run.

Even so, posts are made with an identifying pass, so conceivably you could be ID'd with your permanent post history by the feds if they wanted you bad enough. You mention something once about a law or happening in Arkansas that affected you and boom, list of people goes way down.
