What I really, really don't understand about pro-pedo arguments (specifically the kind Rapp trots out) is the fact that by giving paedophiles child porn, you're creating a market. You're creating a demand. And the people who consume it aren't going to be satisfied with what they already have; they're going to want more. Which then brings around more child abuse in a bid to create more of a market.

She can throw out the whole "cultural imperialism" argument all she wants but her argument completely ignores the experiences of people who were sexually abused as children. It's not uncommon for researchers to target people who are going to agree with their bias and back it up, but I really want to know more about the text she uses to back up her claims. Reminds me of a person who was researching young male sexuality and got in touch with some professor who's regarded as an authority on adolescent male sexuality, and when she got access to his supposedly-amazing works it turned out he only interviewed his friends, a couple of the boys they diddled and there were only about six people he talked to in total.

Dunno part of it comes across to me as someone spraffing utter shite while using social justice buzzwords so they can say UR AN OPPRESSOR IF U DON'T AGREE DOE.
 
They've basically shown their hand -- they're not interested in getting help. Which is what I'd expect if you call yourself "virtuous".

This is all shit Todd "Sick Nick"erson has posted since his Salon article portraying himself as a completely virtuous, innocent pedophile. All of them openly fetishizing little kids and practically fucking drooling, on a site where he's an admin and which is full of openly masturbatory fantasizing about pre-10 kids.

Anyone who covered Sick Nick III last time should probably do a followup about this because it is fucking atrocious.

It's bad enough that they're openly talking about their lust for kids, but the fact that one of those kids is the one in Room makes it all the more terrifying.

Reading this makes me want to vomit and cry at the same time. Just the way these assholes talk...and I can't imagine if you had a spouse "come out" to you that he's a pedophile and still stay with him. Even if he was getting help and completely celibate. I couldn't do it.
