Chaudie Murphy received so many Medal of Honor recommendations people has to be told to stop. Had malaria most of the war, still kicked ass. He felt if they put it all in no one would believe it. He was a very humble guy too. People would pick fights with him at bars after the war and he'd warn them to please leave him alone for their own sake. They'd push him further and he'd kick their ass to the point his friends found it boring because they knew it'd be a curbstomp battle. Dude is a fucking legend. Also kept a live rattlesnake, handcuffs, a pistol, and a billy club in the trunk of his car according to a guy who worked with him on a movie.

Some germans faked a surrender and shot his friend in front of him. He went on a rampage and took out machine gun nests, snipers, and any kraut who had the misfortune of running into him that day.
