Every single streamer/LPer I watch immersed themselves or at the VERY least tried to take it seriously with some jokes thrown in.
Based joel is at it again. Although, i don't get all that hate. If joel is invested into something - he usually takes it at least somewhat seriously.
There's a good rule of thumb to follow in situations like these: "if someone makes a comment that doesn't apply to you, don't bring yourself into it."
Any kind of product can pass these days. should it have some uncharacteristic and wacky Wahmen. Helltaker popularity - prime example.
One has to wonder if Cryptid fucked herself over and lost friends with giwi, ross, VRjosh and others she would go onto VR chats with. Cant imagine theyd want to have her around anymore.
I sometimes wonder if Jackal feels like every thing is cursed pertaining to her Vinesauce map or the previous meet-ups where people like this showed up. I recall someone bringing up that Resident Evil showing thing where Cryptid was at too. No idea what Jackal is aware of though, she seems to stay out of shit mostly?
Joel playing serious cinematic games is a similar experience to watching Internet Historian play TLOU2. Both refuse to take the game seriously, especially if it's very hamfisted in, and mess around with the game animations/ examine textures, silly things like that. If you want to take the game seriously then don't watch Joel because you won't get an "authentic" experience like that. He's one of the few streamers who refuse to wank over triple AAA games.
Not going to lie, he was losing me with the "changing the music to the titty dragon boss" bit, but when the Donkey Kong Country intro starts playing and he just flatly says, "Autoplay" it was all worth it.
Yeah, this is why I like watching Joel for games I have no interest in. Desert Bus? Dwarf Fortress? Microsoft Flight Simulator? I like watching Joel fuck around in games like that, but if I'm looking for someone to take a game somewhat seriously, I'll just be losing my head over watching Joel.
Looks like Alizarin found out about Cryptid's involvement too, he unfollowed/blocked her the same day as Cheesy then posted this.
Its hard to know if shes pulling any antics behind the scenes of all this but it is good she is facing some repercussions, however minimal, for her actions. Its unlikely she will learn anything from the experience now that she hangs out with the toxic likes of 8BitBrody, RedBard , Mim, and Hi_Yeena.
Was Cryptid one of the people behind the Vinesauce document? What did she do to Ross?
It is believed Cryptid is Person 1 based on evidence gathered earlier when the document first came out.
Could be because they read it in this very thread to be honest with you
