Just caught up with the new video. The end of Rimworld was a bit of a downer and I'd be lying if I said that it didn't make me worry a bit (not to the extent of some fans but still). This time however Vin sounds more like himself, just more low-key. Even if he was tired doing commentary, it was noticeably more light-hearted.

It makes me feel optimistic about his future well-being and career. Like, hearing that he right now he doesn't need to be famous speen streamer guy and is enjoying catching up with life and the upcoming summer. That sounds like a step in the right direction. Good on the lad.

At this stage, any remaining uncertainty or worries I had has pretty much dissipated.

I took some of my own advice and have been watching the Spelunky 2 streams. I don't think I've heard Vinny so upset before, though I haven't watched any other CBT series of his. And normally I don't enjoy when the people I watch get angry at a game, it's just awkward and not entertaining, but Vinny at least has mastered the art of "insert series of funny noises to hide my anger", or singing hysterically in his SPEEN voice because he's back to 1-1.

Just started the card opening stream and i feel awful for Vinny having to redo his whole commentary jesus christ.

It's really a bittersweet feeling; knowing that the daily streams are a feature of the past but with those stopping he's taking care of himself better and being more engaged in his life.
Sometimes it takes a life changing event to really get to step back and go man this isn't an ok way to live. He was talking about how just going to bed 2 hours earlier was a big positive change in the rimworld video.

I think part of why so many viewers (not just the depressive obsessives) are curious about what he's up to, or even just what media he's into at the moment, is because he used to give a nightly report of it, to the point of running out of news in his life many nights. If you're used to getting something, even if you don't realize it at the time, its absence can be jarring.

What sucks is like... the rabid fujos thirstposting on the booru don't realize how selfish they were being. They clearly weren't listening to him say "thanks for the art, I'm really not comfortable looking at art of myself though". The passion and talent helped make some really fucking good art, to be fair, but its the same kind of passion that leads to these reality-detached obsessions making the poor guy out to be some kind of Hey-There-Delilah Casanova softboy. I'll never forget when these headcases got so rampant that he had to stop and address it during an Art Corner. "These people are 'kinning Vlinny.' I don't even know what that means!"

Maybe we need a reminder of what parasocial relationships look like.

Go outside, touch some grass, don't let this be you.
God, this is what I'm talking about. It's fine to like things, but basing your happiness and day to day schedule on an entertainer who you don't know, especially le epic speen pizza pasta man, goes without saying is extremely unhealthy. I sort of want to feel bad for them for falling into that kind of obsession, but miss me with that self-pity bullshit.

Vinny mentioned that chat members were sending him Pokémon cards to cheer him up and that he appreciated it. Then says he doesnt remember who they were by name because his brain was scrambled during the past couple weeks as you can imagine and he was a little out of it during that time. So definitely a huge improvement for Vinny from then and now and I'm happy he's doing a lot better.

eta: The last 2 fullsauce uploads were added to his twitch today so people can watch them there if they wanted to. https://twitter.com/Full_Sauce/status/1387882493618049026

or, with how wacky and volatile the fanbase can be, or any fanbase can be tbqh, its likely so that no one decides to get on their cases for whatever reason

I'm glad he's taking time for himself. I actually was just listening to the podcast episode of "Not So Common with Pat Contri" where he had Vinny on, and around the 50-ish minute mark Vin talks about how he has kind of been able to compartmentalize his online and offline shit. Taking walks, staying off social media, etc.

I think that now he has more opportunities to live in the real world and make content whenever he feels like it vs. adhering to a demanding "schedule." Anyways, it seems like he has a real passion for editing. Broadcasting, sure, but editing is where he got his start.

Not that it's any of our business, but I for one am hoping he never goes back to his non-stop schedule, and gets some time to travel to Italy and not be afraid to get laid and shit like that and actually enjoy his real life.

Vinny isn't the only streamer, lady. Watch Maximilian_Dood or something.
Max can be a lot of fun. I got into him when I was playing the shit out of MVC3 and his Assist Me videos were so good. And although I mostly quit paying Sony for games, his first couple chill streams of FF7R made me pull the trigger there and I loved it.

I can understand having a form of attachment for a content creator if you've, say, watched them for years upon years, but I cannot take this person seriously because this post is basically "streamer saying SPEEN and making meat noises stopped me from cutting"
Also this dude needs a dose of "lol calm down" :julay:

"BinyorplsInsane.PNG" That really shouldn't be as funny as it is to me, but thank you :story:

I'd feel bad for them if they weren't over the age of 20 and already married, but alas that is unfortunately not the case at all. I really do hope they log off for a few weeks and get some fresh air, get some ice cream with their husband, and reprioritize their life if Vin's streams really did provide a 7-year long distraction for them.

This. I'm honestly impressed by how much support he's still receiving after all of this considering how much of his new primary audience hails from the Tumblr/Twitter cancel culture hivemind. Even though he didn't do much of anything too bad other than making not-so-thought-out picks for women to sleep with, he's still got a loyal and dedicated chat... almost to a fault tbh. If he ever decides to check his emails anytime soon or accept more gifts from his PO box, I hope chat sends him some more Jyhad and Wayans Bros. cards because those were amazing.

Fuck yeah, I remember not being able to play because I had no xbox or ps3 and I saw him ripping pre-patch sentinels to fucking shreds online.
I think what made Assist Me! really fun was that it was passion behind it, even if there were ones sponsored by Capcom.

Watching Cardsauce vid now and I was wondering if anyone was going to send him the Final Fantasy card game cards because he'd probably appreciate them just because of Final Fantasy. I also have to share this wonderful shitpost from John Fullsauce from the comments:
