Yeah, I guess you're right, in the end he should just stick to YouTube. I don't know how Vinny's doing financially right now, I'm sure he's got plenty of money saved up but he's certainly going to take a big dip in finances from lost Twitch subs.

He won't lose any revenue as long as those subs renew. He also will most likely continue to get ad revenue from his main channel and full sauce videos, Vinesauce and Red Vox merch.

Trust me, Vinny is more than fine.

I know streaming specifically on youtube while on contract with twitch is an instant boot, but i'm not sure about making gameplay videos while offline although i don't think he is in such a position where he needs to worry about needing to stream.
Making gameplay videos is fine, a couple of YouTubers I watch also stream and are partnered on Twitch. The only restrictions I know of are not simultaneous multi streaming and you're supposed to wait 24 hours to upload VODs anywhere. If I'm not mistaken you can even stream to other websites as long as you aren't partnered to those sites.
I thought Simpleflips lost his partnership/contract with twitch?
IIRC SimpleFlips actually willingly gave up his partnership because Facebook Gaming offered him a lucrative deal to stream over there. He actually was partnered on both for a minute, but Twitch made him choose and he played out his deal with Facebook before going back to Twitch.
Also, does Twitch cancel your partnership if you're inactive for a certain amount of time?
As far as I'm aware no. If they do it'll be a long time without any activity. I'm sure people are still subbing to Vinny and dropping bits in offline chat due to his size, so I doubt Twitch cuts off their cut.

I will say that I'm happy that cardsauce and New Pokemon Snap is on the table again. Cardsauce was my favorite bit before his hiatus because he took a crazy popular fad and made it unique by opening random old card packs instead of endless Pokemon cards.

I haven't watched the new video or listened to the ending yet, but I know the gist. Basically what I'm saying repeats most of you but I'm glad he's doing as well as he can be. It sucks that he either will never come back to streaming or will take a while, but all I want is for him to be comfortable after all this shit. The prerecorded video was a great surprise and honestly I'd be okay if he stuck with it. I really enjoyed being in chat (for the most part) and I'll miss that, but I understand it. (Also that clip with Poopy fucking sent me)

Same. As much as chat could be cancerous, watching their reactions and joining in on the emote spam was fun. Not to mention the live aspect of the streams made them feel more... Special? I'm not sure why. Pre-recorded videos are nice but they don't hit the same way.

Yeah, I just can't get into gaming videos unless it's discussing a game or something like Giant Bomb. The interaction is a huge part.

He could do what Ashens does and stream like three or two times a week for 6 hours and do videos on card openings.

I don't think he's going to quit streaming entirely, he's talked in the past about how he does genuinely like doing it and he likes the interaction with the chat. But I do absolutely see him taking another couple of weeks, maybe even a month before returning to it and cutting back to only streaming three or so times a week instead of every day.
As he said in the video, currently streaming does not give him the sensation of joy. Clearly he feels vulnerable and afraid, honestly I think Binty will return to streaming but it'll take a year, maybe more.
He's doing the right thing stepping out of social media, though. Social media is a miserable cesspool and should've never taken off as a communication medium, but alas. Plus, methinks gaming without the chat being cancerous might bring him some soothing.

I'm glad that Vinny won't end up burning out and fading away. In an alternate timeline where the incident never occurred, how long would he have kept up his militant schedule? Into his 40s, 50s? That can't be healthy for anyone, and I feel like it would have been a sad, gradual decline as he just keeps getting older with no change in sight.

I won't say the incident was a blessing, because it wasn't, but the fact that it happened has created the perfect opportunity for Vinny to soft reboot his own life while still relatively young and while still in the position to create content at a way healthier rate and keep his audience loyally on his side. That, to me, is the best possible future for a life as unusual as his.

Finally, thank fucking god chat wasn't around for that Poopy Hoover moment lmao (though I would've loved to see the shitstorm).

He's clearly not streaming because he doesn't want to, its not a "i don't know what to do" situation, its very clearly a "I'm going fucking insane babysitting a bunch of random strangers and i need some time out" situation

These cunts tried to cancel and ruin the dude (just for having consensual sex btw), and he might end up both a better person and streamer in the long run with ZERO damage to his reputation or status.

This backfire of a cancellation is a fucking all-timer.

You ever heard of once in a blue moon? This is once in a multicolored autistic moon. The whole attempt at cancelling Danny Sexbang was sad, but this whole thing (and I know I sound like a broken record saying this) was a new form of pathetic, and possibly be one of the last nails in the coffin that is #MeToo and Cancel Culture starting this decade.

The people behind this partially won, they were able to publicly wound Vinny and hurt his ability to be open with the community. Just when he was getting more comfortable being on camera and joking about lewd subjects more often.

I completely agree with this sentiment, but there's always the silver linning they don't see it as a victory, to them it's all or nothing and their goal was to completely crush the man-shaped calzone. In their eyes, they're not winning.

Wouldn't say it was a complete failure, they knew this wasn't going to kill his career they aimed at his weakened mental psyche and clearly got to him.
They got what they wanted they broke him and now he's not streaming for a while, hope the clout was worth it

throwing around words like "winning and losing" in relation to this situation is a perfect example of why some of you retards spend all your time sperging out about other people's lives on the internet.

it's not a game to be won or lost, it's just some dude's life and he wants to take his ball and go do other things with it. stop trying to find a dick to suck and move on with your lives.

If Brody was actually a part of this, it brings me comfort knowing his popularity didn't increase and he remains as unfunny as ever.

Dude is such a knockoff Eric Andre without any of the charisma.

I just simply don't understand what anyone hoped to gain from this. It sucks to see one of my favorite internet """celebrities""" going through this hurt over literally nothing.

At least he's doing ok now.

Or he could also do it like TearOfGrace does it and upload let's play videos on his main channel and do streams whenever he has the time.

Do you think we'll get a charity stream this year? If we do, I can't imagine Vinny would completely distance himself from that, but it is a weird situation.
