Basically nobody cares about some lazy faggot who does 0.1 videos yearly but charges his Patreons monthly. He's been quiet after the backpadeling too, so not much to talk about, while Mandalore gave us a huge apology to dissect.

Yeah, this shit is such a ridiculous hassle. It's the biggest most overblown nothing burger ever, from a website with a culture of infantilizing grown adult women and a fetish for life-ruining internet crusades.

All of this is total fucking nonsense and now it's progressed from comedy to annoyance (with a little bit of comedy still there, I won't lie).

Way back in this thread I said that GeePM stood at the cliff of becoming a lolcow and backed off. I guess he decided to floor it over that cliff all at once. Still don't think he set out to scam people, still don't see any evidence he's a predator himself, but he needs a thread at this point if he comes back to the web. Sad thing is that his streams were still pretty fun, I was enjoying his Coin Game stuff and rewatching Oblivion.

GPM's proved himself either extremely gullible or a backstabbing cunt. Possibly both. I think that it's more the former since he's always come off as sheltered. He also tends to get caught up in the moment, like when Rev had to tell him to chill with spoilers during Rev's Metal Gear Solid stream. I could see John Fullsauce delisting or removing the streams that he was heavily featured in just to avoid drama or even to keep people from shitting on GPM too bad in the comments.

I was actually just rewatching Le Fantabulous Game again because Fredrick Knudsen actually used a clip of it in the first episode of Down the Rabbit Hole to demonstrate weird Unity games. Super Mario 3 Mix is a good classic Vinesauce series. Juice World is solid if you like the weird shit.

Vinny's always been a personality that's kept his distance in public, so having such personal shit aired out probably shook him. Especially the shit about "having an STD", that is super personal in the first place.

On to the current saga itself and my thoughts: Vinny did nothing wrong, even if the accusations are 100% true. I'm glad people aren't buying in this time, because people have bought in to obvious hit jobs before with shit like Nolan Bushnell.

As for anyone else commenting about it, specifically other streamers, I'd expect a similar thing to Mike's comments. If you don't watch it, he vigorously defends Vinny but reminds everyone that a stream and Twitch chat isn't the right forum to discuss people's personal lives. I never bought the bad blood thing between them. Despite the occasional spergout Mike is an alright streamer, and I'd recommend at least trying his videos with Rev and Fredrick Knudsen if you don't like him alone.

On the legal side, Vinny essentially has no case for damages. He's a public figure so he'd have to prove actual malice (which means knowing that the info provided is false), and even with that the accusations are so mild that there's no way he could prove actual damages. Setting aside the obvious mental damage this is doing to him, and Mike for that matter judging from that clip, he's not suffering any financial damage. No Twitch ban so far, still on his network and he doesn't have sponsors. People are already clowning the people involved hard, we get a few new cows out of it and then it'll be mostly forgotten. Don't start a lawsuit that will bring it up again and again for months. The best he can hope for is to figure out who is doing this and get a restraining order to keep them from making worse stuff up.

I do think that Vinny will be back in some capacity at some point. Seems like the kind of guy who has to be putting something creative out, so even if he stops streaming I'd expect more Red Vox or some other kind of content creation.

Frankly someone should report his Patreon for taking funds without creating content. That said, if the farms have taught me anything it is that furries are near untouchable.
 
Yeah I don't think Vinny has a case.
If anything it was likely a gamble to make people back off and leave him alone, or preparing one in case this does go further.

I don’t think he’s that far gone, look at like Hbomberguy for an example of that. He wouldn’t even be associating with Sseth or still flirting with 4chan style humor and would have at some point made some statement about how chuds should unsubscribe. He’s not caught in the purity spiral and he’s big enough that if he were going SJW he would have already started making retarded political remarks in videos.

Patreon doesn't care as long as they get their cut. If Spoony can stay up, someone like Shammy who puts the bare minimum effort in so he can pretend to still be a Youtuber has nothing to worry about.

Ok, I skimmed Mandy's apology. I think it's alright. He says his biggest mistake was getting involved at all (which it also-fucking-lutely was), and I get the feeling he let his emotions and previous experience guide his actions without really considering the consequences. I'm not mad at him, but he made a really fucking stupid move by retweeting the document originally. It's disappointing, but not world-ending.
